Panthers To Allow Cam Newton To Seek Trade

What on Earth does Pacman Jones have to do with Cam Newton? #1 has never had any off the field legal troubles ever.

This place is crawling with racist idiots.

It is telling a lot of guys go to the worst examples of NFL players when referring to Cam.  Pacman Jones has nothing to do with Cam, but he does illustrate that what the NFL cares about is contribution to wins.  Fans that think anything regarding Cam's behavior off the field - which has, IMO, been quite exemplary with his work in the community - has docked his value at all are idiots.  I don't think any NFL team cares at all about Cam responding on Instagram or whatever else either.  None of that matters to teams.  The dude is clearly a hard worker and has contributed at a very high level in the past.  So where's the market?  Well, injuries.

Cam's injury history has tanked his value.  I blame the team for that. Cam hiding the severity of an injury tells us a lot about the pressure Cam felt from the team to be out there.  Makes you wonder how many other times he played through pain he shouldn't have, and how that could have enabled him to have a longer career here.

Probably waiting for Cam to join another team like me so he can move on to another team.

See ya bye, good luck cheering for a broken down QB. If you want to blame anyone, how about blame the coaches that use to be here. How about just quit whining or leave the forum. We don't need fans like u anyway.

This probably won't matter a bit but I don't think the point was a direct comparison. It was that if teams would take a risk on Pac Man certainly they would take a risk on Cam. I don't know that I agree because bad behavior and bad health are not the same thing.

You don't really believe that anything Cam has put on Instagram so far has tanked his value, do you? He hasn't had any Antonio Brown episodes.

Cam's value has tanked because he can't visit teams to work out for them and get examined by their doctors, nor could he probably pass a physical at the moment. That makes his value pretty low as of 3/21/2020. But, that is likely to change when he is able to visit these teams and it is also likely to change as he is able to pass a physical. His trade value will likely never be an issue because he is way more likely to get released.

i do think both videos, and the subsequent flipping the bird decreased his desirability and trade value.   he's a qb.  i also get reminded a lot that talent overcomes everything in the nfl, as is the case with AB.   i mean that dude, damn, but he'll get work at some point most likely, again.

Im good brotha man!

i'm in the gen that didn't have fantasy football.   all we had were teams and if you wanted to watch football it was 90% gonna be the redskins whether you liked it or not.  bleh, the redskins.     i'm understanding player first fans more and more, whether it was the college, fantasy...  the longer the nfl goes the less team oriented it may become.

Yeah I don't see the big deal with being a fan of the player first. Im the same in the NBA wherever Lebron goes I go. Im from Carolina so the Panthers/Hornets will always be secondary teams I root for just because it is the home state team. But the Panthers are no longer my main team, im going wherever Cam goes.

No big deal, but people seem to think it is.lol
