Panthers To Allow Cam Newton To Seek Trade

He is 100% right about the odd scenario of there being more supply than demand for QB's. It was a hell of a flood of average to very good QB's available.

And it isn't likely to get much better for Newton if we continue to hang on to him.

True but he also could end up in a better scenario eventually. Miami could be an option if they want Tua to sit a little bit, San Diego, New England, or some other options.

How about this as a nightmare scenario, let's say he takes over for Teddy as Drew Brees heir apparent? It might not be too far fetched. Supposedly Peyton loves a mobile QB like The Great White Hope they have now. If Cam would be willing to take a smaller deal there, it isn't a completely crazy thought. Plus the Saints are somehow able to have an "Infinite Salary Cap" cheat code on their NFL Gameshark.

But I could see him at a lot of places as a backup for a questionable or young QB.

Maybe he shouldn't make a video asking for a little commitment. Asking for 5 years after not playing for like 2 years. Now nobody wants, don't look good on his part

Ooooo he should do it. There is no team I dislike more. The Panthers could have treated him like Tom Brady next year, even let him "prove it" and boost his value before at trade or you Tom Brady him an let him walk off respectfully he's still under contract for a season. This was spiteful. Teddy Bridgewater was a slap in the face because of his obviously gruesome injury history and you want to hold Cams injury against him. Tepper didn't even Andrew Luck him. Disrespect. This was petty and short sighted. Will he learn from his Gettleman type, f' you, piss off style? Time will tell, and so will Olsen and Newton.

By the way, this is a PR disaster. The Panthers FO better wake up. The best player in OUR history, PANTHERS history was treated like crap just like #89 was by Gettleman. Not good business. Take responsibility or let the man fight for his job. Cam deserves at least that.

No its not.  Godalmighty calm down.  Nobody wants cam.  The FO did the right thing.  National radio and media are saying the same thing

National radio wanted Cam with the Chargers or Bears as an improvement.

Nobody wants Cam because Tepper depressed his value. He should have said "Cams coming along great, can't wait".

The Patriots did it right. The Colts did it right. Players talk to each other. Reputation matters.

If Tepper has Wizard of Oz like powers and can totally manipulate every other team in the NFL as you suggest there, the next 20 years are going to be AWESOME!  Nobody else has a chance!  Panthers will rewrite the record books over next 20 years.

No it don't, championships. You can't take it then don't be apart of the business. Cam came back and said u can't mix feelings with business. Finally we have someone that won't keep all these people around just because they are nice. Y'all complain about Rivera being that way and now backtracking. I'm ready for the new beginning!

Dude the fuging bears wouldn't even give up a 4th for him. They traded for Nick Foles to be their backup. LMAO
