As we reported earlier tonight, things weren't moving in the direction of Mario Addison remaining in Carolina. Despite early mutual interest, Addison is heading up north to join his former coaches.

I thought we would lose almost everyone in FA.  Did not see the big signs for fairly mediocre players coming.  Not sure where this franchise is headed short term, but It will be painful I’m guessing.

In fact, Beane still says that finding Addison was probably his proudest achievement while with the Panthers. That’s a pretty cool reunion, and maybe a little more special than those we are so used to seeing from CAR-BUF.

Panthers will need to lose four more players (Boston, GVR, McCoy, Irvin) in free agency without making another signing that affects the formula to still get max # of comp picks after the Addison/Bradberry signings. Weatherly/Burris canceling the two losses out as of now.

I'm not losing sleep over losing a 33 year old Mario Addison. He had a great run here, good for him

Mario is so underrated throughout the league. Consistently put up 9-10 sacks a year and is currently 4th on the Panthers all time sack list with 55.
