Can’t miss a tackle to lose a playoff game if you don’t make the playoffs.

Yeah to lose with that team like that last three years, WOW. Brees is done and after he retires next year back to being down there with us. It will be between falcons and bucs.

Not how it works.  We have to sign free agents just to fill the roster, there is no way to fill a 53 man roster and not get FAs

You can still fill out your roster by signing players that were cut or signing ufas on smaller deals that don't count towards the comp formula. Heck, sign some XFL guys. They don't count. If they want a 3rd for Bradberry they are going to have find other ways to signing guys.

I’ll enjoy our 4th place slap fights just as much as our 1st place slugfests.

Just watched 2 coaches tapes on his game on NFL gamepass.  He plays everywhere.  In one of the last games of the season against the Ravens, he played, corner, nickel, box safety all in the same drive.  Watched a game earlier in the season and the Browns play alot, like almost all, man coverage.  He don't suck.  He is good at stuff in front of him stuff behind him and finding the ball down the field in man, not so much.  When the routes are in front of him and he can drive of them, he does a good job.  When he gets stuck in man coverage down the field he does not locate the ball well but he stays on the recievers hip and does a good job of mirroring in coverage.

Not afraid to take on blocks at the line but generally get blown up by Olinemen.  Very good at playing his responsiblity, or at least what look like it on tape.  If this is going to be a blitzing defense and you need DBs to do multiple jobs, he is a perfect fit.  If you ask him to sit back in Cover 2 or play high in Cover 3 all game, get someone else.

Hurney is absolutely out of his mind. i thought we resigned boston btw? Why are we playing a practice squad player 4 million per year? There is a chance that this could be heavily incentivized.

We cut Reid and Jones.  I suppose those two guys were already on the chopping block when we signed Burris.  STs aside, Burris can't be any worse than Jones and may be better in coverage than Reid.  I think Burris was a corner in college too, so the coverage ability is already there.

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
