Sounds like Hurney might have you playing some skin flute by tomorrow if he makes a call to you.

We paid 2-3x market value for his potential. That’s what Hurney has always done. 2 yr $6.5-$7 mil would have been just fine for the guy and that’s on the high end

Eh......we don't know what the market is yet so I would caution against projecting "market value" at the beginning of free agency.

True but do we really believe this guy would get 6 mil a year with anyone but Hurney? I mean Brockers just got $10 mil a year with 10x the production

This is what I have projected so far on the comp pick front:

Additions:

-Weatherly: 5th

-Burris: 6th

Losses:

Bradberry: 3rd

If Weatherly or Burris(another one, huh) goes on to have a career/1st team all-pro year the comp pick changes too. Along with the money; snaps, stats, all factor in too. The formula is bizarre.

Not when your wasting 3 players one being your first round pick last year. That's not Good at all.

Haynes was a raw day 3 project to begin with.   Miller can play OLB still.  I think Burns has the frame to eventually get to 265 pounds.

What happened to him in 2019? He was their third worst rated defensive player on the Vikings per PFF. Seems like he was decent in 2018 though.

No idea but the fact that he had the highest run stop in 2018 doesn’t impress me much. With Hunter and Griffen, sure seems like this guy was a Wes Horton. He’s a run defender and it likely only an early down defender and not used much as a pass rusher. Paying $12.5M for Horton seems like a lot. If we are lucky he somehow turns into Addison, but that’s a hope not a comparison.

Bruns sat every snap we played in the 4-3. We will also need a better MLB than Miller. It would make total sense if Luke was here but not much since he's gone. I mean it is what it is. We are going to suck one way or another. Just a bigger rebuild going to a 4-3.
