It’s funny. I thought the same thing and almost posted it thinking about what times might might want to tank. Without Brady they aren’t in good shape. Unlike us, I could see BB being more than willing to tank knowing he could get his next franchise QB.

They haven’t had a losing season in 20 years, they know their fan base doesn’t care and the leash is a mile long...now two years of suck and Pats fans will freak.

Well, with a 2nd year QB or Hoyer, they are likely to have a losing season. I could easily see them realizing that sucking this year is worthwhile and Pats fans will be fine if they have a new franchise QB after 1 bad year.

The fact is Brady wasn’t that good last year. Their D carried the team, and still has most of those pieces. There’s no real chance that they tank. Division is still weak (I don’t believe the Bills or Allen are as good as many think) and they have Belichick, the best in game coach in the history of the league. I think their floor is like 6 wins, even with Hoyer or the scrub rookie from last year at QB.
