I've said over and over in this thread that I do no watch any major network news. It's all heavily biased trash.

The lock downs did work. Our curve was flattening. When we opened up too early and too recklessly that's when things skyrocketed again. It's not a surprise it's been worse in red states where the predominant messaging is that this is all a hoax and people were much less likely to take precautionary measures. These aren't theories or my personal opinions, it's what the data shows. No one has claimed that masks are 100% effective. They're not. But the data is very strong that they greatly reduce the spread of respiratory viruses like this one. This isn't new or even remotely controversial information.

So this is how this goes down...intentionally.  The MSM won't cover things that run contrary to the leftist talking points.  Then other venues for news materialize.  They are "right-wing" sites and left-wingers won't discuss, just besmirch and discredit.  So the fanboys in the MSM won't cover issues contrary to the DNC, BUT news from other sites that aren't MSM is right-wing garbage.  See how this works?  It's not rocket science.

I don't pay attention to it. I suggest you should too. It seems as if it's causing a borderline obsession issue with you.

This is what I mean when I talk about political desperation. You believe so strongly that certain outlets are deeply incorrect and/or intentionally misleading that you're fully willing to buy into anything to the contrary, regardless of how idiotic the premise may be. It's confirmation bias to the extreme playing out in real time. Turn the stuff off. Tune it out.

Sorry, I won't tune it out or turn it off.  Staying informed is extremely important.  Being ignorant on a subject is just as bad as willingly accept being lied to.  I refuse both.  This is the very tact of the left.  You either eat the MSM narrative up with a spoon or being so partisan and off-putting, that people just disengage all together.  Either way, it's a win-win for them.  That's why they shout down, discredit and completely dismiss any other outlet.

Continue your obsession then. Just don't pretend to be a reasonable, rational, and intelligent person. You're not interested in truthful information. You're just interested in narratives that fit your chosen worldviews and anyone who disagrees is wrong and so is their data.  Tuning out major network media is not the same as being ignorant. I almost pied you until the "nut job" comment, but I will give you credit for looking him up.  FYI, Dr. Risch is not remotely close to the only one, however I figured 'Doctor', 'Yale', and 'School of Epidemiology' were enough credentials that you may take him a little seriously.  This thread has been politicized a good deal.

Speaking of Europeans, I suppose you guys did not watch the vids I posted a few days ago?

Because if you did, you'd have to find ways to trash them.  They are basically saying that all the masks and stuff might help a little, but not much.  They also say that in hindsight, they should have protected the elderly, period.  The rest of society, is by and large okay.  Numbers according to them will be close to swine flu numbers when all said and done.

There is a whole series of videos like the ones I posted from guys (doctors, scientists, etc) from all over Europe.

But CNN or Fox will post a sensational headline of 75k cases one day, and you melt.

And don't flatter yourselves acting like everyone that does not believe you is a moron.  CRA did that for 3 years about Russia.
