Are bars in Asheville the same as in NYC?  You know, where the music is loud and people stand 1 foot apart and yell at each other and laugh really loud to gain attention of some girl?

No clue. Asheville has a pretty solid beer and bar scene considering it is now a tourist destination. If you are ever up there check out Sierra Nevada.

Yes they are. Honestly hard are designed to encourage socializing and close contact. Just about every state that had opened bars  have closed them again or thinking about it as cases have soared.

I've said from the moment we started shutting things down that bars should be the last thing opened back up.  I still can't believe places had already opened bars up.

57k positive tests today

We had better hope the virus has lost its punch

10k in my great state of Florida alone. Congrats my fellow Floridians! Where 3/4 of the people weren't wearing a mask at the grocery store today. Keep up the good fight. We might as well be number 1 at something other than age. Morons.

"The Villages" , and places like that had better lock their communities down.  Of course they should have done that a month ago.  Or dig a mote.  Would be easier there as opposed to the country as a whole, they already have the gators.

And they had to do a study to come to these conclusions.  SMH  AP is on top of things

The guys wear scarves. Some “local” food truck parks outside. It’s super woke.

My wife's parents live in one of the senior retirement communities near Orlando and they are on lockdown. A few members of the staff and community tested positive despite their precautions. It is really getting bad in Florida with so many retired people living there who are all vulnerable.

Asheville does have a lot of breweries with at least a reasonable amount of outdoor seating. Wicked Weed, Burial, New Belgium, Asheville Brewing, Bhramari, Sierra Nevada, Funkatorium, among several others I'm sure. Not sure how/if they are operating; I think if they have some food options, they can potentially get away with being open during phase 2. I guess technically they also double as "retail" since they sell their beers to go on site. Haven't quite figured out all the stipulations but I know there are at least some breweries near me open.

    • Yeah and he succeeded at an even higher level in LA with an even better surrounding cast. Goff is a guy that isn't really able to dramatically elevate players around him but he can make a good situation even better. He is capable of that. Some QB's aren't. I am not sure Dak is able to do that and he is in a similar "class" as Goff, IMO.
    • i think i could handle that for a year. beyond that....i don't know.  back where we lived, when we had a few inches of snow, it might have been a couple feet because we weren't getting out and doing anything. i remember times where power would go out for days on end. we had propane and electric heat, depending on the floor. basement (had a couple bedrooms and a living room and kitchen down there) and main floor had gas logs. main floor gas logs was enough to take care of the upstairs, so we could stay warm and cook on the grill when we needed. we had a well so that was always an issue when the power went out. had to make sure tubs were filled with water for the toilets and we had gallons of water for drinking and cooking available. always had to make sure we were ready. that wasn't always the case. we had a couple moments where we were going through propane quickly and because we were dealing with the worst propane company in the world (amerigas) they wouldn't get out to put gas in our 900 gallon tank. made for some nerve racking moments.  i know y'all were probably a lot more able to handle that kind of thing, but after the little bit (comparatively) that we got here i just have no desire to get trapped again. maybe for a day or two a year get snowed in and i'm good.
    • I think he is just drawing a DC to them line and that's about as far as his thought process went. It makes almost no sense outside of that. Also, it doesn't make sense for Pittsburgh or Seattle at this juncture either.  I think our "veteran" pool is basically gonna be the Dalton/Flacco tier or the "pick your poison" options of young busts(Jones/Z. Wilson) or wild, TO prone gunslingers(Darnold/Winston/etc). We have the option to pursue I genuinely believe(depending on the way the rest of this season goes), we either draft a QB in the top 10 or resign Dalton. Outlier third option on taking one of the wild gunslingers that Dave feels like he can work with.
