Look at the graphs I posted and give us all a lesson.  Really, if it is that simple, give the answers

Really? I just totally just took a shot in the dark at this comment? I have been following this Virus since March. Tell me.. is Positive Cases, Testing, and deaths equally correlated? Lets say deaths are are lagging by cases.. they still do not equally correlate. The improvements in testing, healthcare, experience, medicine has drastically lowered the death rate.

Testing will never lower the actual mortality rate, it simply gives us a better picture of the situation. More widespread testing has allowed people who aren't at significant risk of severe illness to be more readily tested. That is a major if not THE major cause of the decreasing calculated mortality rate. Another significant factor is that we're just now getting to the point where healthcare systems in spiking areas are starting to feel some strain. They're not yet overwhelmed like they were in NYC during their spike.

Either way, this idea that case count and mortality count are in no way correlated is just hilariously bad logic. All I have to do to show this is state that if case count is zero then the mortality count will also be zero. Everyone would say, "Well, no poo." Which is the point. It's a very basic concept.

And less deaths in the entire state of Florida than NYC alone.

Yes but Covid is effectively over in New York

Florida is going to suffer for a while.

Also compare the infections rates for each.

https://rt.live/

NYC has 40% of the population of Florida packed into 302 square miles. Florida is 66,000 square miles. So of course NYC got hammered.

The difference is NYC and its libtards made smart decisions driven by science and beat it. NYC will be open while Florida is still suffering.

You can do all the mental gymnastics you like but DeSantis is a moron. Just yesterday he said he would rather have bars open.

The only thing he should be saying is "Stay home if you can, wear a mask, wash your hands, don't congregate." So should Trump. It's so simple and amazing how many idiots can't comprehend it.

To be fair, I meant to say equally correlated.

So now you are a Dick Cheney fan?

Im willing to acknowledge that he is doing the right thing. It’s called meeting someone half way. I know it’s a foreign concept for right wingers to try and get along but u should try it sometime. It may save your life one day.

Even Mike Pence is advocating for wearing masks now. The evidence is overwhelming for their effectiveness in preventing the spread of this disease (and respiratory diseases in general). It was wildly irresponsible and reckless for them to be anti-mask for as long as they were, but it's vitally important for people to get this message going into 4th of July weekend. Memorial Day weekend was pretty much the kickoff for these current spikes.

The fact that we're debating wearing masks as a matter of political ideology in a respiratory illness pandemic is just sad.

Also it's really cool that none of you are debating the death numbers now.  Like three weeks ago it was all a gigantic conspiracy to make the President look bad.  If they spike again I suppose we'll see a lot of people pivoting back to their YouTube videos of antivaxx nurses risking it all to tell the truth and people yelling in hospital parking lots.

B-but Fauci said to not wear masks like three months ago

NYC is only now really reopening, just give it time.  They are behind the curve, literally, based off reopening later than just about everyone else.  All they did was delay what is bound to eventually happen.  Just give it a few weeks (see, I can play this game too).

Smart decisions like sticking COVID-19 patients in nursing homes?

Florida should have kept those dirty New Yorkers out of the state, that would have helped.

At this point, why would anyone believe status reports coming from Florida state government?  They were exposed months ago for pressuring their statisticians to fudge/minimize the number of COVID cases.  Chances are the actual numbers are worse than those being reported.

Their circle jerking about all the numbers being fake only goes one way.

    • I'm not saying he should be working in the NFL. He did deserve some criticism as DC there. But Kyle Shanahan certainly did use him as a convenient scapegoat. Now there is no one left to throw under the bus. Anyways he could find his way back to the league in some capacity who knows. But he's old school and in the NFL you either adjust or you get left behind. All the same no hard feelings toward him he's a good guy.
    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
