I hope this doesn't get as bad as the 1918 flu pandemic, but I'm not sure if there's any logical reason that it won't. That one killed 50 million globally and 675,000 in the U.S.

The demographic data of the Spanish flu was incredibly different than this. If this were the Spanish flu, the NBA players who got it would be dead.  Instead they are like “dang, I barely realized I had it, but now I’m clear.”  The Spanish flu was killing those same demographics.

That was what I explained earlier too. Build big ton-age dump truck beds that take up loads of surface area, ship them across the world, unload them, and transport them to your operation. THAT is WAAAY cheaper than local production!?!?!?! That is wrong, plain wrong.

Debatable. Read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lexus_and_the_Olive_Tree. If you know Friedman at all you already know his message. He makes for an interesting read.

They conveniently leave out the doctor rule "one test per family." Meaning? For every 1 person positive, they probably ignored 2-3 tests per family.

A family member of mine went and got the test... She was immune deficient and I wasn't. They gave it to her as there was no risk of me even needing hospitalization. Positive result, so 4 likely positive cases (4 members had THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS) and 1 confirmed.

I am feeling 100% better, but the 2.5% death rate people throw around is bull crap. If for every 1 confirmed they miss 3, we're almost at 750k.

Remember, not everyone is going to get tested until they feel ungodly sick.

Starting at about 11 minutes in, and running to 21 minutes, they start questioning what I was questioning a week or so ago.

What do the numbers say, and should we have gone a different direction by quarantining the folks at risk, would the total deaths be less and the economy still be running?  At least I am not the only one to think this way.

We are all at risk or come into contact with at risk people.  Its an idea that can't work in practice in the US, if your goal is to just continue business as usual minus a few people.

America is fuged when we have to lean on rich famous people like Stephon Marbury to secure 10 million masks in Beijing China, at cost, to ship to New York State. Why the fug is the federal government not doing this?

Not to be too political but it's because Trump. He said he would only send masks to states that were nice to him. So now the fed is out bidding the states for masks. Places like OK, KS, MS, etc... Are getting all the masks they requested mean while NY, NJ, CA, CT all get screwed because they had the audacity to not give Trump a glowing review on his mishandling of this pandemic? And 50% of people are cool with this behavior. We are screwed.

    • He made some excellent throws but he always has made some excellent throws here and there. I don't know what to think, which is what I was apprehensive about. Is he going to have a decent downfield game? Because okay Legette dropped one, but someone was giving stats prior to the bye or during it where he had two downfield completions and one of them was the jump ball that is just launched and fingers are crossed that our guy comes down with it, and yesterday we saw that again. The Russell Wilson school of downfield passing.  I don't feel like that is sustainable, but at the same time you have to do Something to make the defense understand they have to defend that downfield throws. Like i said, confused.  I guess I'm going to review the game for myself and look closely at his mechanics and stuff because if he actually fixed that stuff it explains the better throws. And that has been my biggest objection, or what I see as the thing that makes or breaks his chances, that unorthodox dropback and tippy toe action and not having his feet set which limits velocity etc etc.
    • The negative Nancy in me (or objective?) says that they had a bye week to prepare for the Chiefs. However, it’s one thing to have a good plan and it’s another to actually execute it. For all the flack he’s received (from me as well), Bryce seemingly has put his head down and worked his tail off and his play is giving me hope. The first 18-game Bryce showed no progression whatsoever. He gets benched, comes back, and has shown steady progress every week he has started. I think I’m starting to see what the Bryce lovers and unconditional defenders were saying all along, and I hope he can show that on a regular basis for the sake of our QB1 position.
    • Yeah, we could still very well end up 4-13 with the 2nd pick.   I think LVR has the inside track for 1, with only a JAX team as a team on docket that could be beatable.
