14 days isn't going to do anything in the long run.  it will just start right back up.   you're just not able to interpret data and you should stop pretending that you know how.  as i said before we would need to test every single person in the country during this 2 week period you speak of, and there would need to be a 0 transmission rate during this period.  neither of those is possible in any sort of way

14 days will certainly hamper the spread significantly, so that is just a ridiculous take. Will it stop it completely? We won't know. All of this information is preliminary so they are adjusting the strategies as new information becomes available. 

As for the asymptomatic people and the transmission, I have yet to see anything conclusive on how long that period of being contagious would last. I think that is something they are likely studying but I wouldn't expect much in the way of conclusions for a while.

I know that at least I am trying to be educated on the issue, read about it as new information becomes available and actually spread that information. All I see you doing is spraying text in here with no sources but pretty hard beliefs. That speaks volumes.

I think the Japanese have had some success with a drug, can't recall details. Sounds like there might end up being multiple drugs that prove to be effective at treating the seriously ill patients.

Both drugs that have shown success in Japan and elsewhere are not FDA approved. Thanks FDA.

Wouldn't be the first time the FDA has kept safe and effective drugs/medical products that other first world countries have proven to be effective away from the US.

Yeah, I am also going to just ignore that article and click on the source material. In a crisis, the media is not going to be able to transmit accurate information. They just haven't developed that way. And I mean that outside the typical propaganda spewers(Fox News, MSNBC, Russia Today, etc). 

I am not against utilizing traditional media except in a crisis. They typically drop the ball on accurate, complete and non-reactionary reporting when they get spun up.

Hydroxychloroquine (sometimes with an antibiotic) or HCQ.  Chloroquine is also discussed but apparently it's a bit harsher of a medicine.  But both have already have notable success in France, Germany, Italy, and I think even Australia. Some USA doctors are already using it (it's allowed by the FDA).  

And honestly even if it works only 50% of the time, that's significant in curtailing the disease and winning the battle.
