Seems like something other sports could do.

I honestly thought the idea of the Basketball players playing as theirselves on video games would be pretty damn entertaining if they were all mic'ed up...etc.  I also was talking about the NFL Draft where they could have the potential people being drafted in front of their computers on webcam and you could watch their reactions...etc...when the name is called out.  There is ways to keep some stuff going but of course extremely different than we are used to

Probably. The good news is we know how to handle economic downturns. The second biggest one happened a little over a decade ago. Stimulus and bailouts help. And we need individual and small business help as well. All parties tend to agree to increase the debt in times like these.

But the way to make this a two month rather than 12 month downturn is to do what the experts are saying.

/skips political rant/

As far as your local taco shop boarding up. That sucks and will happen. If you have a few bucks get delivery or curbside pickup from your local shop. If you have more than a few bucks buy gift cards. Look for local charity too.

And if you have lots of bucks buy equities and keep buying.

I think if we stopped with the panic news for ratings it would save economic armageddon.

The best thing any individual person could do is turn off all the news outlets, stay away from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Don't use that poo for your information. It is toxic. They are sensationalizing everything and they cannot help it, it's what they have evolved to do and it's our fault as the general public for pushing them in that direction for the past 40+ years.

Get your information about this outbreak from the science community, from public health organizations(here or abroad) and other independent science driven entities. They will cut through the BS and just give you data and relatively objective analysis.

The panic crush is pushing this whole epidemic.

I am truly disappointed coming from the internet age and growing up with the internet that people are not more media savvy. It is really unbelievable that even the younger generation cannot have a skeptical view of major media outlets and cannot pick up on the "point of view" that is being delivered. I thought people would get smart to a lot of that stuff, especially coming from the "trolling" generation. But it really hasn't happened.

2 months ago I was sick for 13 days bad sick. I'm starting to wonder if I got it back then.

That might be a bit early on the timeline. It really didn't start taking off in China until late December.

That is also a big issue with this virus, the symptoms are basically the same as just about any cold, flu or upper respiratory infection. It doesn't do anything special to make it stand out from a symptom perspective.

My sister has a very serious auto immune disease...scleroderma.  Her lung function is compromised.  In the last few months her husband has been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. His treatment is immune system compromising.  Some he works with was sent home yesterday after finding out that his  son, who lives with him. has been exposed to a friend who has tested positive for the corona virus.  My sister and brother in law are at very high risk if they get the virus.  We are waiting on testing for the coworker's son.  Hopefully he is negative.  If not...I am very worried. (note..they are in KY)

I hope everything turns out well.

I still have three grandparents living. They're all 80+. My paternal grandfather would 100% not survive this. He has pretty advanced emphysema and every minor cold he gets turns into pneumonia. My paternal grandmother is pretty healthy, but she survived a bout of lung cancer about 20 years ago and is missing a good chunk of one lung from that. She'd be super high risk too. My maternal grandfather is still pretty weakened by a battle with colon cancer about a year and a half ago. I don't necessarily like any of their chances.

Similar story with my inlaws. My father in law is a pediatrician so I'm sure he has a very high risk of exposure. He's 67 and diabetic. My mother in law is 69 and diabetic with heart disease. Not good. My wife has begged him to just retire but he won't hear of it. He wants to help if he can.

Getting first hand accounts from a major N.C. hospital that they are and have been refusing To test a huge number of people that are showing symptoms and have traveled. This includes healthcare providers. They are also prohibiting these same workers from wearing masks because it makes others panic.

My friend and his GF who were ill went to a hospital in NC. Not surprising.

I have sarcoidosis ( auto immune disorder )   it's in my lungs.  We are doing what we can to stay clear of the virus but if it happens I'll fight it off like every thing else I have been exposed to due to the sarcoid.

Will power is everything and people with underlying diseases or disorders are full of it.  You and yours keep head strong,  we will talk about this to our kids one day.

They have your sisters husband on prednisone?

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
