People assumed that trading Turner for Okung was a tank move. I really think Hurney thinks he got the better of the deal, which is wrong no matter how good Okung is this year. I really think Hurney is just a terrible GM. This wasn't a move to tank or we would've got draft picks, just Hurney being Hurney.

You can think that all you want to, but the fact that our coaches signed off on it, and Tepper also, just says that your opinion on Hurney is just that. Your opinion.

Congratulations.

@BrianS agreed and think the other important thing is Cam also literally back in the building.  He was MIA for a long time but the recent instagram posts with multiple videos and pictures documenting his workout progress and even treatment on the foot clearly illustrate he's back inside the tent.

I think Tepper and Rhule were using a bit of reverse psychology (Tepper: "Listen, I'm not a doctor...is he healthy"?) with their public comments that offered little to nothing in terms of commitment to Cam.  They were testing Cam to see if he really wanted to be a Panther and they got the exact response from him they were hoping for, namely, Cam getting back into the facility full-time and having the team fully involved in the rehab process needed to get him back to 100%.  The veil of secrecy has been lifted.

A properly motivated and coached up Cam Newton is a scary proposition for the opposition, this could get real real real good for the Panthers and the fans alike.

If Rhule had integrity:

"The way we're going to use Cam in our offense is..... I can't do this.. I can't lie to everyone... especially Cam.. the guy who made people start to care about the Panthers again... we're looking to get rid of Cam at the first opportunity. I don't want him here. He's gone soon."
