I think the Pats continuous beatdowns for years have done permanent damage to the Jets brain trust because they don't do much that isn't questionable to the point they should go see a doctor and probibly not drive for public safety.

My point is that Van Roten played very well for us...you linking an example of a player going to a different team and underperforming his contract is incredibly irrelevant, unless you’re arguing that Trumaine Johnson was terrible for the Rams. Are we going to engage in revisionism and say that Andrew Norwell was a mediocre o-lineman for us, because he’s arguably a bust in Jacksonville? Was Josh Norman terrible with the Panthers cause he busted on the Redskins? That’s the argument you seem to be making with your example.

Lol that is exactly what you were suggesting...why else point to an example of a player underperforming their new contract on another team?  What does that have to do with how well a player performed on their original team?  Please enlighten me...unless you're just backtracking and deflecting.

My point was that Van Roten was a good player for us and you counter with "just because he gets paid a lot of money doesn't mean he's worth it"...and I'M building the snowman?  I even specifically said that I wouldn't advocate we pay him that contract LOL.

First step to rebuild is OLine.  Our QB would be running for his life or on injured reserve, whoever it is.  I have predicted the same thing before last season and we will be stuck here until it gets handled finally.

If GVR is the best free agent we can score then do it, we can at least aim to be in top half of OL in NFL as a goal for this season.
