Jets- Eyeing Panthers G Greg Van Roten

Revamping the offensive line is Jets GM Joe Douglas‘ top priority this offseason and Van Roten could be an option for New York in the second tier of free-agent offensive linemen. It’s worth noting that Van Roten would reportedly like to remain in Carolina.

It’s not clear if the team intends to re-sign him yet, though if he left it would mean they would need to replace both starting guards after trading away Trai Turner.

---->Hughes writes Van Roten’s deal could fall in the range of $8-$10 million per season.<----   ,

What???? I thought we could bring him back for a 1/4 of that per year.  All I can say is good luck GVR and hello comp pick!

8-10 million for a below average OG is outlandish. Watch Marty re-sign him for that amount

On what basis do you presume to call him "below average"?

Wouldn't 9977 likes on 17667 posts earn you that rating, as a poster?

Cool so we put Cam behind another poo Oline and end his career. Sounds like a plan!

You think GVR is the solution to our line problems? He’s a below average Guard who is projected to make 8-10 million a year. Do you think it’s a good idea to give him that type of contract?
