 I frankly don't care how it ends up, I am glad the Panthers FINALLY treated LT like it was an important position and didn't ignore it. When your best LT in 7 years has been Matt Kalil since Gross, there is not much it takes to do better.

Trai is a great young player, but LG means nothing if you cannot block the blind side end.

There are no LTs in FA that are not either VERY old or have sucked their whole career. My question to those who don't like it, you wanna just click repeat on the last 5 years? People beg for change and get mad when they get it.

LT is one of the toughest positions to find a good player.  We have had like 1 good one in our history?  Not saying this works out but worth a chance on his deal.

Our fanbase, in this forum, is horrible. Mostly everyone here is better than every GM and every Coach in Carolina Panthers History. Mostly everyone here is an assassin behind the keyboard and a destroyer of character by never letting go of past mistakes, giving readers the feel that our staff is incompetent because they have hindsight in their favor. "Another Hurney mistake" is the going fade here now. Show me a GM of any team that haven't made mistakes. People here are constantly draining our fanbase with NEGATIVITY at every turn. Positivity is minimal here and the one's that displays it, are attacked by the negative keyboard assassins, keeping it negative. It's sad that so many people here are sucking the life out of what's supposed to be a positive forum to discuss and learn about our favorite NFL Team...

You ain’t Lyin’.  I’ll also go on record and say that I’m a better player than most panthers at WR, Safety, Left Tackle, and QB other than Healthy Cam and prime Jake.

Yes.  This place is intolerable most of the time.  Every time I start to like coming here I find myself needing a week or two off.

Cleans up the cap for next year and gives us a solid vet LT to start and groom our young guys. Looks great to me.

Both fanbases are probably happy with the trade.

My worry is Okung's recent injuries. However, he does have an excellent track record behind that. 

For LAC, Turner has been slowing down here, but before that there's an excellent track record.

Hopefully at least one team will find their guy rejuvenated, maybe even both. If not, then at least we cleared some future cap space. Sounds like a smart move by Hurney.
