Trading for Okung wasn’t as bad of a decision As many people think.

We didnt need to make this trade if Hurney knew what half of the huddle did last year going into the draft. IOL was loaded. We could have taken McCoy and 2 guards with our 2nd and 3rds. Instead we draft another project player that needs years to develop that Hurney graded higher than anyone else again, and now we make a trade to pick up a guy with an injury history and heart condition. There's a reason Hurney only has 3 winning seasons. He cant build a roster and has no vision beyond tomorrow.

This doesn't appear to be a rogue move by Hurney. This just seems to be him carrying out this wishes of his coaches.

So, let’s see if we can make some sense to the “Debbie Downer, glass is half empty, small minded” crowd.  In one transaction we have essentially solidified the OL for next year.  Okung at LF, Little and Daley at Gs and Moton at RT.  This gives Little/Daley one more year inside after which they can move outside or maybe keep Okung on another contract.  Nobody knows his playing ability/medical better than his former coach and Turner was never getting more than a fourth.  Were we going to get a starting LT in the fourth round.  Now, hopefully we can feel more confident that we can protect Cam/Draftee and go on to the next fix.

The point is he missed the opportunity to shore up the line last year by bungling yet another draft to satisfy a coach on the way out the door. Little is now going to be moved to guard or a project to start year 3. If Little is moved to guard, then that pick is a complete bust.

Bringing in Okung if the coach wanted is fine. Little was over drafted and wasnt worthy of the pick which is what many of us have said all along. Hindsight is 20/20 but we're making moves that were obvious before draft day.

Well Chargers will select a LT or QB now. Isaiah Simmons to Carolina if the Giants don't take him. Thats the only good I see out of this.

Biggest position of need IMO is DT.  Lol at taking a LB at 7.
