You Cant Tell Me You Don't Like This Draft (Early March / Post Combine Edition)

Here is my mock (with trades):

ROUND 1

1a. DE Chase Young- Trade Action Jackson  and Gano and a bogus Dallas Cowboys playbook to Rivera for the #2 overall pick.

1b. DT  Derrick Brown--Trade Cam for a first rounder (Chargers) and take Brown at #6.

1c. QB Joe Burrow--start a rumor about him before the draft---he is a cross-dressing pedophile that snorts heroine.  He should fall to 7.  Pick him, clear his name by framing Marty Hurney for starting the rumor and fire Hurney.  Win Win.

1d OT Tristen Wirfs---Put something in the Cardinal's table's coffee.  When they fall asleep, get an intern to change clothes with one of the Cardinal delegates, disguising himself as a Cardinal person. Then write on the note to Goodall that the Cards trade their #1 pick to the Panthers for their entire practice squad.  Pick Wirfs before they regain consciousness.

1e. LB  Isiah Simmons--Trade Turner, next year's seventh, 5 PSLs, in our new soccer stadium when it is completed, and a player to be named later (surprise--it's Manhertz) to the Jaguars.

1f.  WR Jerry Jeudy--Trade KK Short, Eric Reid, Julius Peppers, and Jordan Gross (don't tell them that they are 50% retired) to the Raiders.

Analysis of Round 1:  A-:  Pretty good first round, but Panthers' front office must be kicking themselves for not drafting CB Okudah.

ROUND 2 : TBA

Honestly not a fan of Simmons as our 1st pick.

Sure it doesn't hurt to have a great LBer, but they've kind of gone the way of the RB in terms of importance on a defense. You need a stout front 4 who in turn make the LBers and secondary look better.

We need help along both lines over LBer, even with losing Luke. I think that taking Simmons #1 overall would be an overreaction to letting an all time great leave when the game is evolving away from needing an all time great at the position.

This.

Another vote for DT.  You can mask weaknesses in other areas if you have an elite DL.  the same can’t be said About the LB position.  First priority in a rebuild should be building the lines, and if Derrick Brown is there at 7, he is an absolute no brainer.  If Brown is gone I’d take Kinlaw.    Considering Poe and McCoy are likely gone and Short is coming off a season ending injury, we can’t have late rounders coming in to take over the DL.

Finally, a realist

I usually hate other Huddlers' mock drafts outside of the 3 - 4 that post them year around.

This one though, this one kinda slaps :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

I don't see Biadasz making it passed Miami if he's somehow still there in round 3. They'd have an awesome opportunity to pair him up with Michael Deiter (which was my dream for the Panthers' iOL :crying:)

This is a reach...would need Lafell and Gettis included in that trade package for Jeudy...otherwise pretty solid

Past the first two picks I seriously doubt the guys you've listed will be available.

Honestly, I think we've failed miserably if we don't draft a lineman in the 1st and/or the 2nd.

Think we need to see what FA brings first, I think a post combine / free agency mock would be best to really consider.
