Draft prediction- Colts trade 13, 34, 193 to the Panthers for #7

IMO if they don't believe in or get Simmons or Brown with the 7th, I see them trading down for more picks. I mean don't believe in meaning they're other great LBs and DTs to be had later in the early rounds worth developing.

yeah, for anyone wondering the odds of this happening aren't great.  we'd have to throw in an additional pick to make it work unless they seriously got desperate and wanted him (which i doubt since they already have brissett + all the rivers rumors)

7th pick is 1500

13, 34 and their 6th adds up to 1724. 200 on the value chart is roughly the value of a 3rd round pick.

I purposed a trade with the Colts over a month ago.  Why?  They are obviously in the QB market.  One thing had to happen in order for the Colts to want to move up, Love had to jump into the top 10.  That looks like it will happen.  So the Idea isn't all that far fetched, just what is being offered.  If I remembered correctly I had us swapping picks in the first, third and fourth rounds in my trade with the Colts.  That just about balance the equation enough to satisfy both sides.  We pick up the Colts second 2nd rounder #44, so having two picks, #38 and #44.

A while back I said 4 QBs will be drafted in the top 10, Colts love love and make the trade after seeing a early run on QBs. This would be one of those win-win-win deals. Panthers have too many needs and get more picks to fill those. Colts have a extra second rounder, 3 sixth rounders and fewer needs except a long-term QB on a rookie contract.

Picks after-

Colts

7

44

75

122

161

185

211

Panthers-

13

34

38

69

113

153

184

193

222

Then we grab Tristan Wirfs at 13 and Henry Ruggs at 38?

Doesn't look like he really delved into a trade chart.  The Colts would be seriously short changing themselves.

The post below is the answer, did you see the posters pooping mine thinking the panthers could get raiders #12 and #19, lols! Plus I mentioned the Goff and RGknee trades, if its a top five QB, the charts do not matter.

Moving up at the 7th pick requires substance,  throw the charts out the window.

You are right, member the Goff and RGknee111 trades? To move up a spot or two, the cost was 3 firsts plus future 2s, 4s, and 5s.  Insane.

Im sure the colts would offer the later 2nd. Herniay 2.41 uses his big brain and tells them he has other offers and they need the 34. Colts know there are other teams that have Love ranked top five. To get your QB on a rookie contract, 3rd value is truly peanuts. 7th is a GREAT spot, if 3 QBs are gone(high odds that happens) along with Young, that stills leave PLENTY of great players. To move out of that, cost more than the chart says.

I believe Wirfs is a top ten lock, he broke about 3 combine records and hes your typical Iowa stud OLmen. I have seen a few that list him as a OG(i dont buy that). Mims maybe at 38, he played at Baylor and has a similar combine to Julio Jones. A stud WR should still be there and maybe a stud OLman too (in the 32-38 range) Early 2s looks GREAT this year and match panthers needs. Except for 1-3(Burrow, Young, Tua), draft could go on many different waves. There will be early runs on WRs, OTs, and CBs, 18 could be firsts just form those 3 groups.

Ahead of Jeudy. Yeah right lol.

It's possible.  Before Ruggs ran that 40 time there was no way.  Remember some teams, like the Raiders, are suckers for speed.  Jeudy still probably goes first, but Ruggs will be right behind him.  Ruggs now goes in the #10-#15 range.

We have just as good of a chance as the Redskins swaping draft picks with us for a 3rd round pick.
