Bradberry Aiming for 15 mil

It's not like we were fielding an upper echelon defense last year anyway. Bradberry's been on a 6-10, 11-5, 7-9, and 5-11 team in his career that's the reality thats won a grand total of 1 playoff game in that 4 year stretch.

This team has so many holes overpaying Bradberry will just cripple a team that's trying to rebuild almost everything over the long term.

I wouldn't be giving anyone any mega contracts unless the team actually wins more than 1 playoff game next year. You can't reward consistently piss poor team performance.

Pay the cheaper guys and let them compete. I can't reasonably expect a good D next year, way to many holes. I would like to see a much better D, which is attainable. Use that cash to pickup a FA mid tier. Look for something better in the draft the next few years hard. Use cash this year for D lineman midtier also. Better all around right there. Bringing Bradbury back at that price doesn't make us that much better, it just fills a hole, one one many. Same with Boston. If we are just filling holes, we can do that with midtwar guys that have easier to replace contracts.

So again we're back to bargin shopping our secondary.. That worked so well with Gettelmen..lol

Dude is worth the money... The Cap is going up anyway.. Pay the fuging man...

Got to disagree with you. He was worth a rookie contract and not that contract. Build through the draft or build through free agent maticulously avoiding top teir guys who are good but not worth rediculous free agentcy market prices. Don't make bad contracts and be willing to move along.

Bradberry is a zone corner and product of Rivera system just like Norman was.  Let him go.

Half the league plays zone ... Zone defenses are played 70% of the time.. The new rules basically force you out of man to man play ..

My plan is not to rebuild the whole fuging defense... We've already lost alot in this transition already.. A new coach should have some things he can depend on and not have to build everything from scratch when he comes in.. Bradberry is worth the money.. He 27 so he still has 5 to 6 solid years left and he has already shown "consistently" he can shut down some of the games elite WR... We have 1 CB on the roster now and he was benched a few times last year... So we truly have no quality starters at the position already... Sooner or later you have to pay some of your home grown talent.. We already have enough poo to build in this transition... We should atleast try to keep something that is solid on this team...

Your not rebuilding a DEF that was that bad, and is losing a lot anyhow, to sign ONE guy. How are we stopping the run this year. Now, after a 13M raise, JB is going to fix all that?

I laid out a reasonable offer that benefits him and the team. Was that a problem? If I wanted him gone, why would I do that?

The DTs suck.  But that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t jump at a chance to trade KK if a team would offer anything like a top 100 pick.

You knew his asking price was going to be high when he started marketing himself and going on NFL Network to talk up his game last season.

What helps him is the lack of outside CBs available in FA. I look at the list and see a ton of great options for slot corners, not so much for guys who play on the outsides. With that said, $15M a yr is too rich for a team going through this "rebuild" or whatever you want to call it. That $15M could easily be spread between two above average CBs in this FA class and strengthen the secondary.

Then we disagree... Dude has consistently shut down top Wr in a passing league and is one of the better run defenders at his position... He isn't injury prone and comes to play every game... Just because his int numbers aren't supremacy.. Doesn't mean he isn't a top CB worth getting value that the league is going up to anyway...
