To add a bit of fluff:

It's downright refreshing to see such enthusiasm and genuine readiness to build something here from our HC. 

In our entire history, Capers, Seifert, Fox, Rivera to me came across as these more stoic guys with pieces needing to align with their plan.  Matt is a go-getter type looking to create something new, configuring the right type of team for the future.  I just like the approach.  It's honestly a breath of fresh air and feels like a different organization already.

I don't know that I'd say Tepper "doesn't want him". He might not, but I don't think we've seen enough to say that definitively.

It is fair to say that he's not publicly committing to him and that it's highly unlikely he'll be offered an extension (at least not at this point).
