Carolina sticking with Cam

That is on Ron for letting him play. Kyle Allen had proven he was more then capable of holding up the team for 8-10 weeks. We likely split the Rams bucs games to start 1-1 and have a similar run after Cam went out. Ron said himself he couldn't convince Cam to go out during meaningless games or while hurt. If Cam instantly went and got the foot repaired, he would've had preseason week 4 and would've likely been back after the team returned from London with a 6-1 record had the results with KA been the same. Plus more time for the shoulder to heal.

Cam should be able to run comfortably and throw long passes as a minimum for him to be effective.  Allen is a game manager he needs a semi competent coach and semi healthy team to be effective.

Its all evident so we can focus on providing the necessary conditions for team success.

Hey, all I am saying is that a person posting in the paid area of the boards..who apparently has a connection no one else in the world had.  Is pretty nifty.

Too bad this information wasn't shown literally anywhere else.

Well if it was shown here...then Jeremy couldn’t make money in All Pro.

Same concept that Most companies use....give the free area just a little taste to entice them to pay for the higher service.

Or in this case, some random guy on the internet says he has sources and then a guy who can’t seem to shy away from a debate/controversy takes that source and uses it like scripture

besides igo isn’t using all pro for inside scoops he’s using it so folks can have logical conversations without folks like me chiming in and derailing things

My only thing with this, I don't want to see the Cam having a Par finish to get cleared to play. You can hate Kyle Allen all you want, but he is 5-4 as the Panthers starter under a HC that has been a coordinator more then once in his whole career (He also had a excellent game in NO, but Slye cost us that win). If we start 1-3, 2-2, so be it... But Cam needs to have his health 100% under him. I'm not understanding why the foot is such a big deal, the shoulder is what concerns me. We have no way of knowing what those deep passes underthrown had to do with, shoulder strength or the foot. Honestly, the Panthers need a MVP talent like Cam to make the playoffs, it's not like this is a playoff or bust mess. He has not played a game since early September 2019... Meaning dating to December 2018, Cam has participated in 2 full games. If that shoulder is still a mess in TC after a year and a half, I believe the Panthers can still cut him as long as he can pass a physical. You'll see more dual threat stuff now that Norv is gone though, so arm strength might be a moot point.

2017 Cam never threw longer then 30 yards either, but his running ability made up for it. I honestly think if that team is in any other division, they likely would've made the NFC title game at worst.

If you keep Cam you damn sure focus on protecting him. Whether through magical coaching or major acquisitions.

I don't know how it's hard to understand when teams know that you aren't going to let him run and he can't throw longer then 15-30 yards, they are going to stack the box and make him throw. Kyle Allen burned teams for several weeks due to their inability to stop Carolina's offense when a deep ball is involved, heck technically he won in the SB, but the kicker put a L on his record. I just don't see why our fanbase is ready to throw him out like he is dirt... In one full year of NFL play (he was PS in 2018), he has 5 wins, a almost comeback in Lambeau thwarted by the coaches closed minds not understanding teams won't let CMC score TDs from the 10 yard line (Seriously, we are 0-5 when CMC got the ball twice 1st and goal), he essentially led a win vs New Orleans. He obviously had bad games, but I honestly would like to see him in 2 more full years of Camp and learning under Cam. The kid was a 5* talent out of HS put in bad situations the schools he went to. Not trying to bench Cam for him, but I'm not throwing him out when he costs literally $800k a year. Go find a backup with a 6-4 starting qb record (Not counting Fewell Ls, no starting QB should be expected to win under those circumstances) for that much money.

Though now that I think about it, I know for a fact that we have contacted multiple teams about Cam unsolicited, so that means one of three things.

1. We have no intention of keeping him and are just attempting to up his value
2. We wanted to see the market for him and were not satisfied with what was offered
3. They really had zero idea on what his health would be like and are suddenly impressed enough to have faith in him

I don't know how you bumble this whole thing this badly. Hurney magic.

Agreed. I honestly don’t feel better about all the announcements. If they decide to keep Cam, great. Whether or not I felt a complete rebuild was best, that’s the first decision. That said hearing that he’s months out from knowing if he’s healthy just brings me back to the past three offseasons. Is Cam healthy? Will he be start the year and will he make it to the end? Shades of reinjury from Cam last year and Olsen’s foot as well. You just don’t feel like the plan is solid and that we may commit to something because Cam’s health isn’t known. I have this gut feeling that this year will just be another 6-8 win lost season and we’ll miss out on some future franchise QBs. Here’s to Cam’s health otherwise we just screwed up the rebuild. Even with Cam when you’ve lost so many guys over the past few years, it’s a rebuild.

Accurate.

This is precisely where we stand.
