Carolina sticking with Cam

there you go again just insinuating he was just making stuff up.  Like it or not Ian R is one of the most respected guys in the business.

He said when Cam gets healthy they will move him, Cam isnt healthy so they cannot move him.  Pretty simple actually

Here is what he said

“My belief, my understanding, is the Panthers will look to trade Cam Newton when he’s healthy. We don’t know for sure when he’s going to be healthy. He had surgery with hopes of being healthy in March, so that is the goal. I would expect him to be healthy in March, right around there, and for them to seek a trade with him regardless.”

"

I’m insinuating he’s ignoring the comments from  the people directly involved, and no he isn’t as well as you think, Schefter is the gold standard.

so if he isn’t traded when he’s healthy then what ? Month and months of him reporting a trade for it not to happen would be another big shot to his credibility but you and cpt never wrong don’t seem to grasp that

Everytime the wind blows, i.e., new report on Cam, everyone lines up on their side of the fence and pizzes over top the fence to those on the other side, but when the wind changes.......

We hear NEW news each day, but it seems to turn into nothing.  We really don't know what the Panthers are going to do as they give so many different looks, same with all the reporters.

Probably gonna have to wait a few weeks to know, but in the meantime, I'd say everyone pretty much knows where everyone else stands.

You are just a precious gem.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is the latest to weight in on the situation.

“I don’t believe they’re looking to trade him now, but it begs the question,” Schefter said, via 247Sports. “Would they look to trade him in the offseason? I believe the answer would be, ‘yes.’ That would make sense.”

Albert Breer:

• Cam Newton’s Instagram message—“All I want is a little commitment”—was interesting, given the timing and how it matches up with Matt Rhule speaking Tuesday on the Panthers’ quarterback situation. Rhule said he “absolutely” expects Newton to be on the team’s roster in 2020, and there’d be good sense in Carolina keeping him through this year. But it’s complicated by his history with the team, and long-held standing in the league as a franchise quarterback. Can you turn the face of your franchise into a bridge quarterback? The Giants did it last year, with Eli Manning and Daniel Jones on the roster together. And the Bengals did to a degree too, treading water with Andy Dalton for a year, which now has them in position to draft Joe Burrow. I’m just not sure that Newton would be comfortable with such an arrangement, under a new coaching staff. And that’s certainly one way you could read, “All I want is a little commitment.” Maybe it’s his way of telling the team, if he’s gonna be back, he wants to be regarded as he’s been over the last nine years. And the one way to show that would be extending him (he has one year and $19.1 million left on his second NFL deal), something I don’t think is happening anytime soon.

Are you that dense? You do realize we were on a 4 game winning streak with Kyle Allen when that article dropped ? You do realize Rivera was still the head coach ?

everyone and there grandma believed if Kyle led us to the playoffs cam was as good as gone come the offseason. Throw in the fact that the article he wrote was WAY before tepper and Rhule stated there comments....

this is just too easy

That is on Ron for letting him play. Kyle Allen had proven he was more then capable of holding up the team for 8-10 weeks. We likely split the Rams bucs games to start 1-1 and have a similar run after Cam went out. Ron said himself he couldn't convince Cam to go out during meaningless games or while hurt. If Cam instantly went and got the foot repaired, he would've had preseason week 4 and would've likely been back after the team returned from London with a 6-1 record had the results with KA been the same. Plus more time for the shoulder to heal.

Ron was a stircook who wanted to be a brain surgeon...
