Carolina sticking with Cam

The lesson here, is don't believe anyone in the NFL, around the NFL, or who played in the NFL, especially this time of year.

Take what they say, and file it away, come up with your own opinions and try to take emotion out of it, that's the very best way to handle these things.

Agreed. Either way, this BS causes divisions in fanbases. People hate Tepper for things he hasn't decided yet.

Do we know for sure that's what he was told?  Not calling either side a liar, but Dr.'s can't really release that info, only the patient can...correct?

The timing of all of this couldn't be worse.

That's what was reported at the time. There's some flexibility with that info when it comes to sports, but it's a valid question.

Schefter, LaCanfora, Florio and others have all stated that the team has had some frustration with the way Newton has handled his health (delayed surgeries and such) which is why Rapoport indicating that Rhule is happy with him now matters.

Tepper himself has already told everyone the truth, that no decision can be made on Cam Newton's future unless he is healthy.

I would take that as gold, as it's likely the truth.

Cam currently cannot workout for the Panthers.  He cannot workout for other teams.  He cannot pass a physical.  He can be cut, but that's not what anyone wants right now, except for possibly Cam deep down (this will never be said).

So, until he can pass a physical, "he is the Panthers QB", as little as that means.

P.S. this is feeling more and more like what you mentioned (things he hasn't decided yet) and I'm not sure that I'm really happy with that, but that's just me....don't want my owner making that kind of football moves, but I don't trust the GM with those moves either...we are in a poo position.

That last sentence is probably the truest statement about the whole situation.

Owners are more involved then they let on. Tepper just doesn't hide it.

What makes it difficult is that the NFL is a huge factory of lies mixed with truth.

The Jaguars were absolutely keeping Jalen Ramsey right up to the point they traded him.

Lance Briggs declared that he'd never play another snap for the Bears shortly before he signed his long term extension.

And the Panthers were perfectly happy with their receiving corps right at the moment when they signed Keyshawn Johnson.

it's been said, and it's true, that the most effective liars are the ones who mix lies with truth. That applies here. And what makes it even worse is that sometimes it's not a lie. Someone just changed their mind.

In this league, nothing is ever certain to happen until it actually does.

Which is why digging for insider scoops is pointless. So why even share?

Some certainly are, some are totally hands off.

Fans like the access to the "hands on" owners, but typically don't like the product they put on the field by week 7.
