You have no credibility when you report something in January then pull a complete 180 before something is even announced. There is no way a definite decision is made until a physical.

He is "reporting" what people are telling him.  Thats how this works.  He isnt making poo up out of nowhere.

Whether you want to acknowledge it or not but Ian R is an incredibly well respected insider in the NFL.  Just because folks on here dont believe it doesnt make it false.

How many of the same word salad regurgitated posts about Cam can Mr. Scot make in one thread?

Stay tuned huddle.

Could be worse.

Imagine being a guy who never did anything of any value and only posted to imply things about what other people said.

Now that guy would be a worthless moron.

I want to win consistently for the next twenty years.

If it takes four years to get us to that point, I'm okay with it.

The return we'd get on trading Cam would have little bearing on this team long term and the constant implication otherwise around here is annoying and just plain incorrect.

New poster here.

I'm glad they are finally standing behind Cam.  Now it's time to surround him with some protection.

I saw a mock draft with Marino where we traded down to acquired multiple picks in the second round and added much needed lineman on both sides.

How would everyone feel if Carolina did something similar?

We will know if Cams healthy on draft night

If the Panthers draft a 1st round QB 7th or trade back into the first he's not healthy

Or they are just planning to move on after 2020 anyway

If they dont draft a Qb they are expecting Cam to start 16 games

If they are unwilling to overhaul this pitiful and depth depleted offensive line, then they need to seriously temper any expectations they might have of Cam starting 16 games.

This tweet doesn't really say anything we haven't been saying here for months. Cams future in Carolina depends on his health.

The team has to stick with Cam until he is healed because

1. They cant evaluate him until he actually is game ready.

2. Other teams wont give the Panthers what we think hes worth until they can evaluate him

Until he can pass a physical, he has no trade value.

Then I'm not going to believe what he says, zero credibility because what he hears has been proven wrong by his own mouth.

That mock looks terrible.

A couple of months ago, Albert Breer put his value at two second rounders.

With the news now that he might not be healthy for months, I doubt you could even get that.

At this point, if the Panthers trade Newton, it won't be because they believe they'll get a return that will allow them to rebuild the franchise. It'll be more likely that they're just moving on and want to get something.

Like I said before, this is a lousy offseason to have to trade a quarterback.

Thats fair and its better to cross reference stuff like this with different writers.  Both Jourdan and Person tweeted the same thing since then.  So something was being put out.

My overall point to some posters on here (not necessarily you) is that these writers do not simply make stuff up out of thin air for clicks.  That is ethically and professionally a big no no.

One has to ask, why in holy hell did cam wait so long (again) to have surgery?  Just really bad timing for all parties.
