Think about everything we know about Dave Gettleman.

Now, is there any scenario where you can imagine Gettleman NOT taking Brown?

Brown's gonna be a Giant.

I hate to say you’re wrong, but I think you’re wrong. Look at their roster. They spent a 1st last year on Lawrence and a 3rd on BJ Hill in 2018. They’ve got Leonard Williams via a trade last year and Dalvin Tomlinson as well. DT might be their most solid position. After releasing Ogletree their LB corps is pretty thin. I’d think Simmons before Brown or possibly OT. The other possibility is Jeudy to get Jones another weapon.

Nah most people dont expect a 6th rounder to even make the team but trading back to 12 , 15 yea a good GM should be able to draft great talent there. Gaining a 2nd rounder yea great talent

Michael Thomas was 2nd rounder

not all good football players are drafted in the top ten. leagues MVP was what 31

Josh Jacobs shouldve won OROY drafted 24th

Maxx Crosby 4th rounder 10 sacks runner up DROY

Just to make you feel bad. We had Crosby in as one of our 20-30 (can’t remember the limit) private visits and you’d think DE was a priority with Addison becoming a FA and being older and Peppers retiring. We go Grier instead at 100 and Crosby goes a few picks later. SMH, Hurney sucks after the 1st even when he knows guys who are available.

Sounds like we need a better GM

Hate the excuse that an early 2nd round pick isn’t expected to have an impact or 3rd round players are mainly busts. Here’s why NO has routinely kicked our asses lately:

2nd round: Thomas, Bell, McCoy, Williams

3rd: Kamara, Smith, Hendrickson

4th: Gardner-Johnson, Onyemata

That’s 3 studs, 2 starters and 4 solid contributors/future starters in the last 4 years.

Here’s what we’ve gotten in the past two where we had an extra 2 3rd round picks:

Donte, Little, Grier, Thomas, Haynes and Miller

I see one starter who gets burned like toast, one hopefully will replace Olsen (like him), one might be a starter but really sucked/got concussions and 3 guys who likely are just backups at best. 8 picks and no one actually special.

That’s why NO owns the division now and we’ll keep rolling where we are.

Also, before people cry about Gettleman being worse than Hurney, in the 2016-2017 in that same sweet spot of 2-4, we got Samuel, Moton, Bradberry and Worley. That was 4 starters in 5 picks. Also, before the Worley bashing starts. He’s been rated higher in 2019 than Donte and has been the Raiders starting CB for the past year and a half. It turns out that he was a good pick, just got thrown to the wolves as a rookie and had Imamura and Rodgers as coaches.

He drafted Butler in the 1st when we had massive needs elsewhere and DT was one of our strongest positions with recent 1st and 2nds spent on Star and Short.

Umm, Short was about to be a FA and Star was a year away from FA due to his 5th year deal. We had no one behind those two. They said they want to resign Williams or probably franchise him at minimum. Hill has 2 more rookie years left and Lawrence has 4 including the 5th year. Tomlinson is in the last year of his rookie deal but still good depth right now.

It’s OK if you didn’t know the Giants roster. I didn’t fully until I looked because I was wondering who else beside Lawrence they had. I knew about Lawrence and with their desire to extend Williams, that instantly makes Brown not make sense at all without seeing Hill and Tomlinson as backups.

Hey, everyone is wrong sometimes! Honestly, Brown, Kinlaw and a QB would be the only guys that would seem to not make sense at all. Jeudy, Simmons, Okudah and an OT all make great sense. Forgot to mention Young as well. He’d make sense but I’m 99.9% sure Rivera is trying to one up Detroit talking about a QB.
