What sold me on Brown more than anything else was draftable SEC OL after draftable SEC OL nearly to a man saying he was their toughest match up. That speaks volumes.

I just can't wrap my head around this "bad tape/technique" take. I have literally not heard a single source have that criticism. The most I have seen is some slight critique of his leverage at times.

I'd love to have him at #7.

Yet in spite of that he is being judged on exercising. Not what he actually has done in 4 years.

And now we are bringing in theories like he doesn’t play with his hands? Motor? Please. You haven’t watched or simply don’t understand what you are seeing if you think any of that is true?

As for the PEDs, do they ONLY make him stronger. Do they make him less athletic? Does he just take them before games? Do you think he(or any player) throws people around without leverage(from hand use and technique)? Expect the amount of times he does it.

Im no expert, just a guy posting on message board. I watched a few games LSU one was maybe the best one Ive seen by a DL ever. He did what he wanted and besides efforts to stop him, they failed horribly. Ive seen teams triple team him and lose.

PEDs can make you less athletic, adding weight and lose flexibility form gained mass. The biggest benefit is not strength either, its youre less fatigued than the non-users. New stuff is taken minutes before on tabs and its out your system faster via perspiration and follow up tabs. No idea on a current college players cycles.

The couple of links I tried about Auburn's Pro Day didn't have much of anything as far as numbers.  It did say what VIPs were in attendance though.  If that is true about his 3-cone, then he did improve.

Yeah, every rookie comes into the NFL having some things to work on and needing refinement. But if Brown isn't at least a very good DT I'll be very surprised. I think his floor is pretty high, but honestly Kinlaw may have the higher ceiling.

I would agree about Kinlaw having a higher ceiling. I think Brown's floor is very, very high.

I would have no issue with adding either.

Not seeing any scouts and pretty sure their Pro Day was held indoors.  I think that was him at different time putting a finger in the eye of his critics.  Thus "just for fun".  Honestly, even if that was unofficial, not to shabby.  A little tight in the hips, but I'd more concerned about that if he were an edge guy.  Interior linemen don't have to flip their hips as much or have great bend as the outside guys.   Brown looked more than adequate in that footage.

And this ONE of many ways PEDs can affect a person is your basis for this theory? Never mind that he’s been doing it for 4 years. He was a 5-star recruit. Think he started young? Like 8th grade?

Ill try to be clearer, my posting is brown combine tier. He is winning by strength/bullying. He uses it and it works, one time. In the NFL, players simply can not do this constantly. Watt and Donald are about the only ones and they have great technique . You need counters and better hand movement. When a LT shoots his right hand into the defenders left armpit and gets a grip, he has much better control now. He can change the space and angle now. It didnt matter to Brown at the college level cause his (first) bull rush move worked, he didnt have to make a adjustment all game or all season. NFL OLmen will not follow that trend. Being a top tier athlete helps overcome this, which brown did not show.

Honestly Brown jump form college to pros is better seen when a GREAT high schooler gos to big time college program. Its not easy anymore and youre not the strongest guy anymore.

No idea on his roid schedule or if he had one. Just curious how he had the season he had and that follow-up combine. I know in Texas they start before the 8th grade now.

Personally been around strength athletes over the years. Roids are fuccking magic. Seen a natural very strong man take years to improve his bench, take roids and it gos up 100 LBs in 3 weeks after he plateaued naturally.

I you need to find a friend(s) to explain football to you while they talk PEDs. None of your BS gives your ignorant theory any traction.

Make up whatever makes you feel better. If it keeps him out of this mess, I’m for it.

It was a improvement, but when its 8.22 thats not saying much. That 8.22 was done on equal grounds under similar circumstances and competing against all other DL there.  Brown could just be a bad tester in group setting, idk.

I never had a theory, please show where I said hes juicing. I just wanted to know how many PED test the guy passed.  Some teams do testing, before bowl games, conferences have policies, plus NCAA does random too. Brown tossing around SEC OLmen, then follows it up with that combine is very confusing. Combine test is different than most colleges, much harder to fool blood testing.

It’s confusing for you. What does change of direction have to do with tossing players around? And why is it PEDs? He passed all of them. For 4 years. And came back to school for his SR year even with a mid 1st round grade. Does that sound like a player taking shortcuts? He had at least been juicing for 5 years by then right.

 Pathetic.

Change of direction has shown to be the best drill for NFL success. Brown had the one of worst in the history of the combine for DL(i dont trust that website saying it was the worst). Roids/PEDs are used in college sports, just facts. Again no idea on Brown, but odds are he owned a few guys that where juiced up.
