First, who cares about the holes. We aren’t a playoff team next year and probably not 2021. BPA is great and it likely means a stud WR should be in day 2. We will not fill all the holes in one year. Second, the offenses in college aren’t making the WRs. This is an epically strong WR class.

We do need another WR based on Brady’s offense. If a stud WR is available you don’t take a need position. That’s what we have been doing the past two drafts and why instead of getting solid starters in day 2 we have DBs without positions, traded up for Ts trying out as a G and third string QBs.

I care.  Now if the value is SO high, say in round 3, for a WR over any position of need, you obviously take it, but that really diminishing the value of other positions in the draft.  The DT and S classes are loaded too, but not quite as deep.  Those are nearly every down positions.  Brady's offense, I know, runs a lot of 3-WR sets.  I contend it would be much easier to get a tier-3 WR in FA to fill that and get better production than a round 3 WR.

Meh, I'll give up on being a playoff team when we suck. The Niners were 4-12 the year before last and they went to the SB last season. A big part of that was getting their injured QB back.

I normally try to fit a WR in my drafts, but dont force it either. Thats the great thing about this draft, you dont have to force it cause they are in all rounds. Bonus is the Panthers needs are at 25 players, WRs can be returners too(2 for 1 baby). A good example is below. Lastly I feel there will be a good corp of UDFAs and leading that group will be WRs.

Recent draft, late round has heavy combine influence. My hardest part now is drafting a CB that can start, if possible. I believe I found a late one that can along with my normal line focus.

Where the QBs gone too? I like these too, I had one and told myself "I wouldnt draft Brown anymore...... and there he was....well the combine isnt everything, right?" Before the trade for Okung, I always drafted a OT. Honestly that stopped me, but it shouldnt have.

Is that all you have to do is not want Brown anymore?  I can't get a simulation, AT ALL, that has Brown dropping to #7.  Only Burrow had been drafted, Tua was still on the board.  If we have no bites in trade offers, even with Tua on the board, I think we pass on him.  I think this scenario is HIGHLY unlikely, but with Cam here, it doesn't make much sense to me.

I normally laugh about combine stuff, but Brown did not have a top ten worthily one, AT ALL. If theres one drill that I favor its the 3-cone. His 8.22 is beyond terrible. I had him in a couple(giants seemed to pick him a lot), I pass on him now. Im a Simmons 1 and Okudah 1a guy now and thats hurts cause I dont like drafting CBs or LBs that high either. Wish there was a DE worthly players this year, but its a weak class after Young. K'lavon Chaisson is a fav of mine and a dark-horse for that pick, still better players tho.

3-cone piece- https://www.draft32.com/how-much-do-pass-rusher-40-times-ma

Its not just that either, Brown failed other testing too. He did not test as a elite top ten pick athlete. https://3sigmaathlete.com/sparq-rankings-2020/defensive-line/

Not worried about that too much.  His tape puts most of that stuff to bed about his football ability.  It 's like a smart student that doesn't take standardized test well.  Brown maybe just doesn't do drills well. You actually have to practice those specific drills to do well in them. If  Brown is there at #7, he should be the pick.

His tape is top five overall worthily, that combine was 5th rounder tier. Brown bullied SEC OLmen and won with strength. That will not work constantly in the NFL. If not a top-tier athlete the bust rate is very high.  His tape looks like he was taking roids and others where not, I still want to know how many PEDs he passed. It just dropped him some for me, I prefer to limit the bust factor, especially top ten pick.

How did we draw a line from him not having a good shuttle and 3 Cone to him using PED's???

2+2=Potato? Wat?

He constantly bullied SEC OLmen,  many guys that will be drafted. Combine has a legit PED test, I was just curious cause I did not expect him to have a terrible combine. He had the third worst 3-cone out of 300 guys there. Hed be the first to have those numbers and drafted top 7.

Worst one in history.
