Yeah if we got rid of Cam and said we were sticking with Grier all year that would be a clear sign. Again we haven’t even hit free agency, or the draft. Would you think we would be in tank mode if we did try to trade up or down for one of the top three QBs in the draft? What if we signed a top free agent as a one year gap to let our rookie develop would you still feel the same? We have an entirely new staff, and possibly a new Gm after May who may want a fresh start with a QB they choose.

Yes I'm sure..They gave crazy contracts to all thier star players.. if you look at that roster it wasn't supposed to be as bad as it was... You still had a pro bowl LT, WR, RB, 2 LB .. Matt Moore was supposed to be better.. Clausen by most analysts wasn't supposed to be that big of a bust and that team got crushed by injuries... That tank happened naturally.. They were trying to be good and everything fell apart .

Sure. Since Tepper has been here for 2 years now, those two should count against him as losing records.

Baltimore Ravens after going 5-11 went 8-8 in their 2nd season, winning records ever since.

If they draft a QB in the 1st round it isn't a tank job.. Because you're not trying to lose to get a specific player... Or specific QB..  Again the letter is giving me pause and the action with Cam at this point.  IF they move differently in the draft and FA then I'm happy to be wrong...

If we wanted to go all out for a year just to say we had a Super Bowl trophy, we may or may not actually get one but then we risk putting ourselves in poor position for future years (like the Broncos and Saints did).

If you want to rebuild the entire machine for long-term success oh, you don't do that in just a year.
