So you are saying he had 1 RB and 1 WR as his weapons and nothing more?

Why did not mention the other WR--David Gettis? TE Jeff King?  Cam would have been a lesser QB without Olsen.... I am not arguing against your point--but all you do is paint half a picture and call it a masterpiece.

Any of Cam's Oline...(by the way, not "anyone of Cam's..."

Nice to see you ass rash... I wonder when you would check in on daddy..

But my point if you read the conversation.. Was that Clausen situation while being bad wasn't impossible for him not to show any competence... He had a great WR 2 good RB and the Oline was decent... Other QB have shown competent ability with less... Just cause I didn't mention he had no name TE's and some rookie WR's doesn't change my point...

You guys have surpassed pathetic.

All he's saying is   have patience,  Rome wasn't built in a day.

I'm more disgusted with what I see here, than I am with the team.

That’s because the season hasn’t started yet. You’ll be disgusted too when you see what they trot out this year.

Exactly.

As the Panthers owner Tepper wants to win as badly as any fan on this forum.

Dave gave Rivera his opportunity to shine and it didn't pan out.

Now the Panthers are hitting the reset button.

Not sure if Tepper can pull it off, but it looks like he is giving it his best shot.

All he is saying is please be patient it may take some time.

If the team has a quick turn around I'm sure he'll be as thrilled as the rest of us.

Just try and be somewhat realistic about this process.

I think a reasonable zone to fall in as a fan is simply expecting the excavation before the build as Tepper is inferring.  BUT! Don't lose sight that in all sports, there are always outlying factors changing the projections.  No use getting mad over Tepper tempering expectations for the team and staff's benefit but I'd like to see a swift turnaround and not a bunch of people sitting on their d*cks.

As fans, given recent trends, we should expect tangible progress late year 1, or year 2.  I just don't want to be sitting near the bottom for 2-3 years seemingly waiting for a savior.  On the flip side, we may be sitting at pick 6-10 again next year and not top-3.  Maybe Rhule gets it going quickly and we end up 5-11/6-10.  Maybe Cam comes back and we end up 9-7 or something.  Basically, people should have realistic expectations without getting panties in a wad.   The range of possibilities and the amount of uncertainty will cause the ruckus we are seeing (Along with the fact that Marty Hurney is somehow still with this organization WTF)

The Hornets were supposed to be one of the worst teams in NBA history this season and Graham came on along with others.   Miami was supposed to be one of the worst teams in NFL history after week 1 and look how they wrapped things up.  You just never know, so yeah, let's be patient but I don't want to rest on this idea that the "process" can't be expedited with the right people.

Basically, it is the right thing to do vs. the Cam cult (-people who want him here and think he can be part of the long-term solution.)  I get that they are upset and want 2015 back--but the road is long, with many a winding turn, that leads us to who knows where.

And then there is this:

Trying to build shyt the “right way” when we don’t know how long the NFL as we know it will last. With concussions, CTE, players walking away from the game, you could spend so long trying to get it right for it all not to matter in the end.

Same ones wanting to build correctly be the main ones harping on the salary cap, while the Saints just go out and do; manipulating the cap to their very needs. They’ve managed to build a consistent team in the process, too, smh. Plus, they’ve got a Lombardi.

This is a good post---I have had the same thought. We seem to decide on a rebuild every time the CBA negotiates a new deal.  Remember Jerry's Pie Chart presser?  When we decided to clean house?  Weird times.
