Man, what a dense take, but after that ridiculously dumb "well, if they're right and I'm wrong, they're just lucky" post earlier, why am I surprised?

Sports, dude. Sports, where nobody cares if what's happening hurts your feelings. And again, nor should they.

You have to be the dumbest poster on this fuging forum. Beyond idiotic that you value your opinions above everyone else when you can’t respond to something black and white so let me lay it out for you chief (or do you prefer boomer, doctor, geezer, grandpa, jackass, etc?)

Upstate is saying that these reporters aren’t hearing anything from Tepper, Hurney or Cam. They are get this SPECULATING on a topic and he feels as reporters they should not speculate and focus on what they actually hear or have information on. He then showed where you were upset at a recent topic because it took what someone said and the title was speculation on the information. Yet somehow it’s okay for the reporters to do it when it fits your narrative but not okay when someone does it in the other direction.

I get it you probably have health issues and sit around on the computer all day and this is your life force it’s how you prop yourself up day after day but god damn enough with it, stop acting like you are in a level no one else is because you’re older than fuging dirt and realize that maybe if you see there are two sides to every coin you can learn some new insight or perspectives. And the funniest thing is he never once said he was upset at what was getting speculated just that he wished they would stop until they actual hear something or have some info.

I actually read Upstate's take because I respect his opinion, whether I agree with her or not.

Yours? Not really interested.

So I hit the nail on the head. Congrats chief you just proved exactly why your life is the way it is. This poo is beyond easy to see. You never have a response for a valid rebuttal because you can’t rely on vague references from people to back you up. Have fun being that sad in life kid.

Well, I'd say you hit something on the head :)

As to my life, you have no idea at all (things are actually pretty good right now, for the record) but the fact that you're going that route tells me you can't hang in the debate.

No shock...

Except you shuck responses like my original one about what upstate was talking about because it’s natural for you to do. You done it every time anyone has made valid responses to your shtick. Let’s not pretend like you don’t have a habit of it and are shocked that someone is once again calling you out on it.

Read about half of this, enough to generate two comments:

1. You are obviously a well-informed, intelligent writer, but you really need an editor. Remember, brevity is the soul of wit.

2. Modern journalism is basically generating "hot takes" for clicks, the more controversial, the better. The fact that you are posting about her work means Jourdan accomplished her objective.

It, and the situation, all comes down to this: Is Cam Newton still a franchise QB?

Who really knows? Personality-wise, sure. Can he actually do the on-field stuff? I don't know and you don't know.

Injuries have piled up on him and have majorly affected the last three seasons for him. These have caused diminishing returns. That can't be argued... the stats point to it, the record(s) point to it. Cam was not just injured but debilitatingly hurt in multiple ways -- shoulder and foot most notably.

A strong-armed, hyper mobile QB with injuries to his shoulder and his foot. Hopefully surgery has taken care of it.

We won't know until not just a physician checks him out (remember that Paradis passed his physical last year), but when we see him in full practice, perhaps until we see him in action in a pre-season game. That's a long time for now and it's after the draft and the start of free agency, not to mention after the prime time for trades.

It's a big, big gamble and it doesn't matter how you and I feel about rolling those dice. It just matters how the new head coach feels and this guy doesn't have Rivera's commitment to retaining older players. That guarantee went out the window when we all called for Rivera's firing.

In the end, looking at any possibility of NOT trading Cam before the draft is just wishful thinking. The press' constant remarks about the impending trade isn't bias, it's just looking at the ledger sheet and opportunity costs, not to mention what their sources may have told them.

that's the problem with old people

Hey!!! You realize that my wife gave me one of those mail-in carbon dating kits for my last birthday?  The Fire Marshal refused to allow the baker to put that number of candles on a cake.

Away from the very poor attempts at humor.  The problem with this whole situation is that it is like a soap opera.

Whenever anybody says anything involving Cam, whether it is somebody whose paycheck comes from the Panthers or somebody on this board, let the spinning begin.  Did you see that.....Tepper shifted his weight when he said they would evaluate Cam when he is healthy.  That clearly means...........

The reality is it means nothing.  People are trying to piece together a puzzle based on pieces that may not even be part of the same puzzle.

I know what I want, but it is based solely on the limits of what I know of a situation with a ton of variables.  I freely accept what I would like to see out of this situation and what I will see may very well be vastly different.

The Panthers organization probably knows what it wants, but be it moving forward with Cam, trading him, or playing him for one more season to evaluate and figure out what they are going to do going forward, the same variables apply.  They don't even have the answer, so the whole mess is very up in the air......and they know more than I do.

Cam probably knows what he wants, but again, variables that he probably does not have the answer to greatly shape the outcome.

This horse was beaten to death a long time ago.  If I am going to spend time wringing my hands over trying to figure out the future, especially when it involves something that even those in the middle of probably do not have a solid handle on, it will be the lottery numbers or where to invest our savings.  This situation has fewer variables than the lotteries, but at least the variables pertaining to lotteries are accepted variables.  Too many people think that if they spin words or speculate long enough, they will turn is variables into constants, when only the football field can do that (and it may not, either).

Then again, my namesake's favorite saying is "I know nothing."  On this situation, I am willing to accept that and wait.

Oh, and BTW, what is wrong with The Onion?  The reporting is just about as accurate as anybody else these days, and it at least provides some entertainment value.  How can you go wrong with a headline like this: Increased Airtime Of Chantix Commercials Results In Ray Liotta Qualifying For Democratic Debate?

Pretty much.

After Tepper's rookie season as an owner, the word was that he planned to keep Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney in place. That made absolutely no sense to me (still doesn't) and it was news that I hated hearing.

But you know how much difference it would have made if I had attacked the sources who were reporting it?

Nil

Niente

Not a damn bit

What's going to happen is going to happen regardless of what anybody here thinks. Some people will it predicted it correctly. Others will not.

And seriously, who gives a sh-t?

Of course they are speculating. Good grief this forum is full of morons.  Thanks for pointing out what is obvious to cognitive humans
