He posted workout videos last year. Still got injured. I hope he gives up the vegan diet. Doesn't seem like he plays well without the extra weight imo.

They are clearly opinion pieces. This is evident from words like  "appears", "could" ,"should", "expected" , and "likely". Readers just don't actually read and pay attention to what's being said. This isn't reporting it's editorial. Reporting refers to events that happen. People just need to know which is which and understand the intentional differences between the two.

I know the difference between the two there’s a difference in a piece explaining why panthers will move on from cam and there’s a difference in a show like speak for yourself saying he’s gone.

Ian is a football sportswriter, people don’t watch or read his articles for his opinion or speculation, I can get that here, I listen or read assuming he’s connected with someone inside who’s indicated a direction, or someone with more knowledge than us on a forum. Take into consideration his and others horrible track record with this situation it’s equivalent to the entire sports world saying Kawhi Leonard was going to the lakers.

Posters acting like click bait era and not reporting accurately isn’t a issue in this day and age is asinine.

I read articles from journalist and creditable sports writers expecting some shred of insight to the situation, not to hear the same opinions I can read under a fb comment section. Notice Adam Schefter isn’t spamming articles, I wonder why

The nightmare scenario is that we bring in some veteran QB and we win too many games to draft a top quality QB.

That would be really dumb. If we get rid of Cam and don’t go for the top pick next year that would infuriate me. I can handle a year of suck knowing what it could bring. Doing a half assed rebuild is idiotic.

Yeah when you lose your franchise QB you need to go all the way down and tank completely. The upcoming season needs to be 0-16 or close to it. Do NOT patch the team together and try to eek out 5 or 6 wins. Bottom out. The NFL rewards the bottom.

Dude, nobody gives a sh-t.

This isn't world events. The fate of national and global economies isn't riding on what gets reported about whether the Lions want to trade Matt Stafford or the Bengals are gonna be able to sign Joe Burrow.

It's sports reporting, which is not only speculative by its very nature, but also dependent on sources that have agendas.

Agents lie to try to engineer things for their clients.

Teams put out misinformation for their own purposes.

Hell, even accurate reporting can blow up if a team, player or someone else changes their mind.

That's just the nature of the business.

But here's the thing: Let's say someone reports with absolute certainty that the Panthers and Cam Newton are parting ways, but then it doesn't prove true. You know what's gonna happen?

Nothing.

Nada.

Niente.

Not a damn thing.

No investigations will be launched. No accusations will be leveled. No charges will be filed. Nobody's getting fired. There will be no federal indictments and no crisis of journalistic integrity will be declared.

Why?

Because it's just sports talk.

It's fun for fans, just like talking about what happened on General Hospital is fun for soap opera fans or discussing whether the latest episode of Doctor Who was up to the standards of the classic shows is for nerds.

That's all the importance there is to it though. So quit clutching your pearls as if this were some watershed moment in current events.

Again, it's just sports.

Nobody gives a sh-t.

So why go to school to be a sports writer if every fuging guy with a opinion and twitter can have the same insight and intellect as Tom from MySpace?

this is the dumbest poo I’ve ever read, so let’s have no integrity and just report  and speculate on whatever the hell we want for a national televised station, this kind of idiotic thinking is reasons the Kobe Bryant reporting was just horrible by reputable news outlets, you wanna report on bullshit fine create a Twitter account, but excuse me for wanting my sports outlets and guys who’ve went to school 4-5 years and are connected to nfl teams and alike to have more insight than a damn twitter account with a egg as the profile picture.

idk how they got poo done during the revolutionary war or 1922 or whenever the fug you were born but expecting more from people that specialize in a particular field Is the norm for me
