Mike Florio: Panthers seem to be poised to try to trade Cam Newton

A friend of mine who is low level in the Bengals organization who I know from working at Duke Energy (They are the Utility in Cincy as well)(he used to work there before the Bengals) told me all he is hearing is the Panthers want Burrow and are 100% inquiring. Also notice Burrow is not saying he wants to play for Cincy. Joe Brady wants Burrow bad and I think him and Burrow have talked.....Take this for what it's worth.

Most of it was impromptu besides the cam interview, tepper nor Rhule were coaxed into there answers about cam and wanting to win a super bowl with him in there comments.

andy dalton was benched and they have the first overall pick with a hometown kid as the phenom In position to be picked , that’s a lot more believable and there fo has been consistent with that they are leaning towards moving on from dalton and currently working with him to get him traded.

worlds difference

Not my point, my point is you're emotionally invested in the Panthers, as you should be as a fan, and you may not have the most objective views.  As someone who isn't a panther fan, Florio's take makes a lot of sense.

Christian McCaffery has shown already that he can not will a team to victory... We lost GB, NO, WAS, TAMPA, all with him carrying the ball in the redzone with a chance to win. Kyle Allen can't win games when you give him the ball once and CMC the ball 2-3 times... Not saying KA is great or CMC sucks, but when you're 0-5 when given the ball in important situations, don't be yelling MVP...

....

To be fair to CMC, if Cam is healthy, 3 or all 4 of those games turn out differently. When you only have one weapon, easy to stop, you got to deal with Cam and CMC in the red zone, it's a much different story.

That’s correct and wrong at the same time, those reporters aren’t our beat writers and hardly Keep a eye on our roster outlook, they also don’t comment on actually comments from the people involved and only attach to click bait topics, it’s like mini Whitlocks everywhere, you have to search hard to find actually reporting on the situation, which states clearly that no one will know until March the plan for cam.

I mean Ian has been shooting off speculation and false reports since last season about cam, so it’s fair to say he’s lost some credibility on this situation from me
