Flame away. We will see how things shake out if some of the talent starts to go down with injury or is traded away.

Come on brodie, no tyrek hill and no hunt still balled out, Sammy Watkins not living up to his contract, still balled, came back from a dislocated knee in like 2 weeks, balled out

and let’s not mention the playoff run....

I agree CMC deserves a top 5 contract but I see the success(or lack thereof) that teams have had recently with highly paid RB's and it definitely gives me pause. Now, could CMC end up being productive for 6-8 more years and continuing to play at a very high level? Possibly. But, it would be an outlier if he does. I just don't think that is a gamble that is ultimately wise.

Yeah, that sucks you didn't become a Panthers fan with Cam but I can understand jumping ship with him since it was Cam that originally brought you here. But we weren't the kind of franchise that had the success that keeps bandwagon fans around, either. That's really on the Panthers.

I became way more involved than I ever would have imagined. But I’ve managed to avoid Cam discussion for 5 years. And stuck around. That’s something...lol

I am not flaming, I am legitimately questioning how much you have watched Mahomes play. The kid only won the MVP his first full starting season and the Super Bowl the next.

BIG question mark he couldn't win the SB along with the MVP.  I mean, he's basically a scrub.

One great season *Shrugs*
A little bit of a tangent to the original point that it’s a stupid fuging idea to trade CMC.

This is a tough one, if you don’t secure a top qb than paying cmc is going to end up dumb in the grand scheme of things.

so if you move on from cam, and aren’t able to get a qb this year or next I think you should consider trading him in a package to either grab a qb or enough compensation to further build on the team.

as good as cmc is, rb production is far easier to replace than qb production.

cmc future should be tied to how fast we get a franchise qb under helm, whether that’s cam or one of the top prospects, doesn’t matter, dedicating that amount of cap to a rb without having a qb is failure waiting to happen, especially during a “rebuild”. Hence why a lot of posters are against wasting seasons to tank for unknown commodities

I dunno JB.  Current holes where we have obvious vacancies or desperately need upgrades...

Offense:

LT

LG

C

WR2/3

TE

Defense:

Base DE

NT

DT

OLB

MLB

CB

NB

FS

We pretty much need an entire defense minus Burns, Shaq and Miller.

Yea I just disagree with where we are desperate. No team is great at every spot. The holes I’d identify on offense: LT, C, maybe also RT and WR3. On defense: DT (maybe x2 depending on what happens with Short and McCoy), DE, MLB and a S. If Bradberry walks, also a CB.

Don’t need to be elite at TE, and Thomas has looked as good as at least half the league’s TEs when given playing time. We can grab half of our needs relatively cheap in FA and later round picks (LBs, WR3, maybe S). LT in the 1st, DT/DE in the second, whichever we didn’t get be a mild splash FA signing. C in the 3rd. Only leaves a CB from my list, and maybe RT. If we let Bradberry walk we should be able to get a serviceable one for much cheaper in FA.
