Because this team isn't a healthy Cam away from competing.

We're a healthy Cam, New O-Line, New D-line, and new secondary away.

Makes sense to trade the guy with the highest price tag and lowest hit away for draft capital to try to fill those holes.

If our MVP franchise quarterback is gone the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and so on goal is acquiring the next franchise QB by any means neccessary. That includes exploring options with other fan favorites. This opens up the door for some uncomfortable conversations about other players not named Cam. Newton won't be the last Panther to leave on unpopular terms.

Cam no longer has to carry a bunch of nobodies on offense .. do you not get that?

Cam can't get the ball to Moore if he has no time to throw it. And c'mon, man. Moore is not a superstar. The only healthy superstar on this offense is CMC, and he doesn't need Cam.

People keep discounting the Joe Brady hire like it is nothing, as if he's just the Phil Snow of the offense, lol that just goes to show you how uneducated this place is.

we’re all waiting for you to educate us, but it’s so hard to understand you with Cams nuts in your mouth.

If we’re not a healthy Cam away from the Super Bowl means we should get rid of the only good QB we’ve ever had at the QB-young age of 30, then we might as well get rid of McCaffrey and every other player that we can get a pick for. McCaffrey is just as old as Cam in RB-years.  Gonna be way more expensive than Cam in RB-dollars.  If we’re “starting over from scratch”, McCaffreys not gonna last long enough to actually help us win a SB anyway.  Is McCaffrey going to still be an elite RB in 5 years?  Maybe, but if we’re tossing babies out with the bath water we might as get what we can while his stock is at its highest.

If we're actually talking trade potential in here and not claiming that those who do such "aren't fans" then here's my take...

I'd like to think we can get bids up to make Cam's value more than a 3rd.  If Jimmy G could net a 2nd rounder after doing nothing for years, then Cam is at least a 2+4 combo IMO.  We need to net at least 2 potential starters if we're shipping him.
