In 2013 he passing stats were

24 TDs

13 INTs

61.7 % completion rate

3379 yds

He finished 15th in passing rating.

On what planet is that a good year?

In 2018 his stats were almost identical. Same Tds , same INTs 100 difference in yards. The only real difference was his completion rate was a career high 67 % ..which is good.

Cam will never put up the rushing numbers he did in the past. Name ONE player that performed at a high level 5 years ago that is still doing it outside of a kicker? And he was never an elite passer consistently.

Go back and look at the 2013 season.....compared to the qb performances he ranks in the top 10-12

so yeah

2018 even with injury was above average with 2 less games.

he doesn’t need to, he just needs to scramble and improvise when needed, we have c Mac so there’s not a need for cam to lead the way rushing any longer.

Drew Brees is actually better than he was 5 years ago so there goes you one player

I'm not going to mince words here, this is a very ignorant and tired trope used to diminish black QB's that the league has been trying to shed for years.

I am disappointed but not surprised to see MHS agreeing with this from someone like ickmule.

Look at his numbers. Look at his throwing mechanics. Hes a thrower, not a passer. Tell me, how often you have ween Cam throw some open? Throw the ball BEFORE the receiver is out of his break? Are you going tell me Cam's thowing motion is consistently fundamentally sound?

The man is halfway out the door, why are you still babbling about his throwing motion?

Do you see me raging about Kyle Allen's ball security?

We have bigger problems.

Again you and other posters are acting like it was a fluke.

cam is not a great come from behind qb? Where are you getting this from? It’s been debunk numerous times Cam’s 4th comebacks or comebacks in general. Rivera’s coaching style was a main reason we didn’t see more from cam

and again I’ve said numerous times we don’t need mvp cam, 2018 cam is just fine before the injury. The last 7 mvps didn’t even win the Super Bowl.

No hes not. Not even close. Facts matter

I did compare Cam to other QBs in 2013. He ranked 15th.  Not 10 - 12. And no Drew Brees was not better in 2019. In 2013 Brees threw for over 5k yards for 3rd consecutive season with 39 TDs and he mussed 5 games in 2018.

Bottom line

Hes under 60% career passer

He has less than 2:1 TD/INT ratio

Hes pass for 4k yds ONCE in 9 years

Hes NEVER had a 100 QB rating in a season and has been over 90 TWICE in 9 years

Hes NEVER had back to back winning seasons

You cant refute any of that. You can blame coaching, oline, receivers whatever.. but those are the numbers.

2019-5=2014 if I’m correct....so his 2019 season is better than his 2014 season and that’s with 4 less games....facts matter bucko

I can refute all of that because you’re leaving out stats to help your argument, I guarantee his pass attempts are almost significantly lower than anyone in the top 5-8 passing category, and please list the 15 qbs that were ahead of him in 2013, you had guys like dalton throwing 33tds but 20ints ect ect

You would think because his attempts are lower his passing efficiency would be higher. See Brees or Brady for example. Thats how it usually works. Cam is consistently average as a passer at best. You are reminding me of the arguments the falcons fans use to make about vick. The numbers are what they are.

Andy Dalton has more come back wins than him and they came into the league the same year. Tannehill has more. Alex Smith has more. Please stop.

Cam and Vick shouldn’t be in the same convo as far as a passer. Lower attempts doesn’t equate to better efficiency, there’s also the factor like coaching staff and personnel that aren’t being accounted for or the fact that when teams would throw in the redzone, we opted to run cam, which would impact his passing stats

Do you even know what my original quote was saying or are you making up some imaginary argument in which I said cam has more 4th quarter comebacks than “insert” qb?
I mean damn those two qbs you have listed also have more comebacks than Rogers, so what does that mean ?

No you said its been debunked. But it hasnt based on FACTS. You stated that I picked facts to make my argument .  Tell me state ONE CAREER stat that suggests Cam is an above average passer? Name ONE!
