And by the way, yeah, Clemson was the 2nd choice for the Panthers, if no the 3rd (Carter Finley Stadium was also in consideration) due to the fact that it's in the middle of nowhere with no hotels or major airport near by.  Butt hurt much?

Atlanta airport to Clemson 133 miles

Atlanta Airport to Williams Brice Stadium 220 Miles

Charlotte Airport from Williams Brice 103 miles

Charlotte Airport to Clemson 128 Miles

Busiest airport in traffic IN THE WORLD is closer to Clemson then Columbia, I smell chicken

I am not going to quote anyone but what does tmz popping up and talking to cam in his off-season has to do with anything? Plenty of players kick back in the off season and even off weeks. Look at Lebron for example. His personal  life has nothing to do with what he may or may not do on the field. Then some mentioned about his relationships,  you would have thought cam has done something illegal. R-e-l-a-x! It’s ok for players to have fun after work. I know I like to have fun when my work day/week is over.  They are the same.

You are getting into what might be the depth of the issue--people with rose colored glasses do not care what the Panthers have to deal with when they turn off their TVs.  You do a good job of creating a hypothetical based on facts you know that could be interpreted a certain way, justifying Tepper's expected reaction.  Nice work---it is plausible.

For example, I used to be a school administrator.  I had a teacher who had the highest test scores in the building. She was a terror.  Drama queen.  She demeaned other teachers around her (not saying Cam does) but she did not think my directives applied to her.  Other principals told me to ignore it--she gets the test scores.  I called HR and had her administratively transferred.  They said I was crazy.

I was/am, but there is more than test scores.  I decided that she was hurting morale, creating a double standard, and challenging my authority.  The next year, the school's test scores increased 10 points.  Those teachers directly impacted by her had the greatest gains.  Culture is important.

former restaurateur here.   hardest lesson in the world is learning that firing the all-star employee who is great with the public, but that makes trouble for the rest of the staff is a decision you will never regret, and neither will anyone else

Try being the owner of a business when your stockholders call pissed off. Fun isn't ok when you mess around with the media. Thankfully the Panthers aren't owned by multiple individuals since Tepper bought it. If this was Atlanta, we'd all agree this QB is gone. Cam Newton wasn't even involved in any highlight packages after he got hurt at the games, only time he was shown at any home game was the 25 season videos.

Vernon Butler is better then him? MA had a 1st round grade and slipped a bit, the Vikings have a starting slot CB, we have NOTHING from that pick. Bradberry was from Samford,  don't give me that crap about the schedule, Vernon Butler was from BUFFALO. Jerry Richardson was a COCK, I don't like the odds of not drafting one player from a university your scouts live 2 hours from, then being pissed when we we're the ones that would take your team.

The teams MA played between 2014-2015

2014

#12 Georgia

#1 Florida State

#7 Georgia tech (Coastal Champions 11-3 final record)

#24 Oklahoma

Richardson's beloved Gamecocks, 7-6 unsurprisingly

2015

#6 Notre Dame

#16 FSU

#8 North Carolina

#4 Oklahoma

#2 Alabama (National Champions)

Ranked teams VB played

2014

#8 Baylor L 63-21

2015

0

Ranked Teams for Bradberry

2014

#16 Auburn 31-7

2015

0

SOS has no argument in this conversation, get out with that crap. Clemson only lost to 3 of those teams lol

You're correct, SOS doesn't have a place in the conversation, you've adequately proved that by looking at MA and JB's professional careers.

All I am saying, what is this based on? I haven’t heard anyone say they upset with Cam. Actually I have been hearing the opposite. After Cam got hurt, they had to get behind the backups and help build confidence in them . He wasn’t taken off because of his behavior. He wasn’t playing and Cmac/ others were playing so why not highlight the rest of the players in his absence. I’m just reading a lot of assumptions that isn’t based on any facts. Cam may be very well gone but it’s not for behavior. I guess we just going to ignore the other athletes who go out and have a few drinks to relax and yes, get tipsy. Not downing you man. That’s not my lane. I read people talking about him cheating on his girl and all that. That’s none of anyone’s business. I work for a Fortune 500 company and I highly doubt if I cheated, I would be let go.

Go back to 2016, JB was not ranked higher then MA. MA was projected first round, things didn't happen that way. The argument was made that SOS is a reason to "not get started on him." You don't get to consider a period of time when you question why Clemson fans like Houston more then Carolina. Why? Because the Organization has ignored and treated Clemson like crap for 23 years. Ray-Ray was given a fair chance, so I can see that changing. I would almost guess if JR's Panthers had the #1 pick and Fields was the #10 prospect he would take fields.

Alumni of a school are supposed to support a school that has a CLEAR  bias against Clemson? I'll be honest, I about turned my fancard in for this team when the One Carolina thing they did for the floods that one year, the organization didn't even try to have Clemson be apart of it for a good while. They made sure SC was one of the first. It does bother someone who paid over $100,000 to attend a certain school when they treat your school like garbage. The Panthers are CONSTANTLY signing SC players to at least TC contracts and drafting them, Clemson players, I can count on one hand this decade of how many we signed.

I'm not arguing who is BETTER, It's obviously JB, but the idea that Clemson fans should like the Panthers when at one point 9 of our 53 were SC players are foolish. TL playing here would open a HUGE influx of revenue and new fans for this team. My question, why support the University who wouldn't work with you and not the one who inconvenienced their team to get you in there?

CMC walked out and didn't speak to the media the media tried to ask him regular questions and he ignored them. The cheating isn't the issue, the pile grows. You can get fired for actions not on the clock, Cam is pretty much on the clock 24/7, he is the face of a brand until he is gone. Cam wasn't even trying to get away, he clearly embraced it and acknowledged he is not level headed.

100% missing the point. It's unethical to cheat, won't lose you your job. But when you do other things, it is apart of a pile.
