Is that how you support a franchise QB?  We drafted offensive linemen:

  • First Round:  0
  • Second Round: 3 (Amini Silatolu, Taylor Moton, Greg Little)
  • Third Round: 1 (Trai Turner)
  • Fourth Round: 2 (Edmund Kugbila, Daryl Williams)
  • Fifth Round: 1 (Dennis Daley)
  • Sixth Round: 1 (Zach Williams)
  • Seventh Round: 1 (Lee Ziemba)

Cam never had a chance--how do you only draft 4 OL in NINE YEARS on day 1 or 2 of the draft (rounds 1-3)? That is 4 of 25 1-3 round picks went to the OL after drafting a franchise QB.   And one of those four is Silatolu?

Taylor Moton was Gettlemen's pick.  Marty?  grabbed a third round G (Turner).

Turner and Kugbila were Gettleman picks.

Tepper’s attempts at ‘transparency’ are rubbing me the wrong way lately    Cam gave his body for this freaking organization and poor coaches, and Tepper can’t even give him a verbal  benefit of the doubt.  Andrew Luck  never, ever accomplished as much and that  colts organization stood by him. Tepper,   If you can’t give a former MVP a vote of confidence,  a team captain, let him go.

Nope. I wasn't a fan until we drafted Peppers. There was just nothing there to pull me in before that. I honestly couldn't care less about Charlotte. I was just a general NFL fan previously following favorite players and former Tar Heels. Drafting Peppers got me onboard.

I've lived in CO for 13 years now and have stayed very loyal to my NC teams, but if the team goes through a total overhaul? Yeah, I don't know. Honestly, I might be out. We might have to draft Sam Howell to get me back. LOL!

lol at this is who is chosen to moderate THE Panthers forum. Yikes.

Tepper doesn’t owe me, y’all, David Newton, Cam Newton, Isaac Newton, or anybody else a public explanation about anything. He’s the decision maker and he will do what he wants. Some will hate it some will love it. Just be happy he’s available to talk and be up front with you unlike Jerry Richardson.

Bama Panther's earlier post in this thread is right, though. You can't think that way.

Football decisions have to be based on what they're going to do, not what they've done before. Rewarding someone with a contract because of what they did previously is how you get dumb contracts like Jake Delhomme's extension after the Cardinals disaster.

If we were gonna think that way now, why would we have let Greg Olsen go with one year left on his deal?

This is what’s going to happen:

panthers sh1t on Cam in an ugly divorce. Claim he isn’t healthy, and move on.

cam is released and signs with another team. Cam leads said team to playoffs and wins comeback player of the year. Panthers win 2 games next season and Ruhle’s seat is hot.

Cam's been posting IG Stories of himself working out + images of him throwing etc.

Cam will be healthy. If Cam is healthy, which he will be, we won't trade him.

That is what he should do...and when asked while under contract for 2020, he should say that he is playing in 2020.  He is doing it the right way---and the Panthers might be too.

Paradis. Pretty sure Van Roten was a Hurney signing too but I'd have to check the time frame.

I was referring to the draft---I guess you could add Norwell to the mix if we include undrafted free agents and free agents.  Point being, the OL seems to have not been much of a priority--
