I definitely agree with this idea that we need more good football players, but when your idea to acquire more good football players involves trading our best football player (who is only 23 years old) for draft pick that may be able to be turned into good football players, well that has me like...

I know its far fetched but its under the premise that Cam is not really worth a 1rst, cmac is obviously,  and both are going to be up for mega deals after this season.  Seems like a no brainer if the raiders would part with both.   We are just going to waste cmacs talent during this rebuild.  He had a record setting year and we barely made it to 5 wins.  Running backs are just not as valuable as they were in yesteryear.

Drives up his price too because he can argue we use him as a WR more when it comes time to extend or franchise tag.

Meanwhile, who's our QB again?

No one knows as the position can’t stay healthy.
Meanwhile CMC has played literally every snap and carried the whole team last year.

But without a viable starter behind center he carried us where exactly? We finished the season on an 8 game losing streak and went 1-5 in our division for the season. Still need a quarterback.

Stupid argument when 31 teams have that same problem in February. You don’t throw away a sure thing. As great as Cam has been no one knows what version of him you’ll get in 2020.

Here is the one thing I do not understand and have not seen it argued much (that does not mean it has not been beaten to death), and it could be the reason Tepper wants Cam out.  Frankly, without knowing all of the details, it sure seems that the fans and ownership have a legitmate concern.--

Cam waited three months after injuring his foot before having surgery that takes 6 months to heal.  Next month, three months out of his foot surgery, he will be asked to perform to determine his fate.  In 6 months, the normal healing process, it will be June.  He will have been limited in OTAs--again.

Before, when Cam injured his partially torn rotator cuff (2016 season), he waited until MARCH to have the surgery--missing all of camp.

The following year, he had surgery on the same shoulder in late January, 2018--when it because obvious that Cam could not throw as soon as October 2017--but RR kept playing him.

So are these delays on Cam, the organization, the head coach?  The team needs their healthy QB on the field during OTAs, camp,  and preseason.  If not, it throws off the timing and chemistry for all players.

So why the delays?  If they Cam's decision, could that contribute to Tepper's frustration?  Not a rhetorical question---I am not sure if this has been addressed or if there is a good explanation---not seeking an opinion here, because you nor I know the answer--unless it has been addressed by the organization or cam.

I can possibly answer the last one. Cam went to see one of the top specialist ( in green bay I think). He told Cam that surgery wasn’t needed/recommend. I honestly forgot the term used but I can try to look up something concrete. I’m not sure about the shoulder part tho

again, we have no idea what dr anderson (or andrews - whatever his name is) told cam.  none at all.   we only know what we were told.  its hard to believe the best foot surgeon in the country told cam he didn't need surgery when he actually did.  he may have said surgery is not necessary but will certainly speed up the recovery process.   with the other instances of cam delaying surgery i'm not giving him the benefit of the doubt.
