BREAKING NEWS: David Tepper speaks on Cam Newton status with Panthers

tbf Tennessee destroyed Baltimore and the 2019 MVP in their own house, and also had a 21-0 lead in the AFC championship game.

There are many ways to win in the NFL. Having a world-beater at QB isn’t necessarily a must.

CMC isn’t trade bait. You don’t trade or shop a 23 year old phenom. You just don’t. You build around that player, the same way Rivera and Hurney should have built around Cam when he came into the league.

Anyone here who thinks we need to trade CMC needs to permabanned swiftly.

You can say what you want about the Ravens, but they still have a 23 year old Lamar Jackson. The game begins and ultimately ends behind center. The Titans are facing watching Henry walk for nothing or sinking a boatload of cap space into him. They can try to keep him and Tannehill, but do you really think they don't want to upgrade at quarterback if they can after watching the show Mahomes put on in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl?

It sure seems like there are some Panthers fans here who would rather mortgage the future on fan favorites than improve the overall team for the better of the franchise.

I'm looking hard at some folks right now that have had many things to say about emotional attachments.

awwww, you wanna ban me. well i love you even though you've been in a crap mood lately.    he's just here at the wrong time.   he's not gonna do us any good.  its nothing against him, he's amazing, but serves no purpose on our team besides entertainment at this point, unless he is just amazing for the locker room.     paying him a large contract doesn't make sense.  we can get rb after rb on rookie deals.

I don’t want to ban anyone. It was a figure of speech. Trading CMC would be one of the worst things this franchise could do. Words cannot describe how asinine it would be to trade him.

i'm all for it if they package him and cam to get tua or burrow.   all the new guys can grow together under rhules guidance.   i mean we are swinging for the fences already.  if cam is healthy and we have a couple good drafts and it all works out that way i'm great with that too.

Here is the one thing I do not understand and have not seen it argued much (that does not mean it has not been beaten to death), and it could be the reason Tepper wants Cam out.  Frankly, without knowing all of the details, it sure seems that the fans and ownership have a legitmate concern.--

Cam waited three months after injuring his foot before having surgery that takes 6 months to heal.  Next month, three months out of his foot surgery, he will be asked to perform to determine his fate.  In 6 months, the normal healing process, it will be June.  He will have been limited in OTAs--again.

Before, when Cam injured his partially torn rotator cuff (2016 season), he waited until MARCH to have the surgery--missing all of camp.

The following year, he had surgery on the same shoulder in late January, 2018--when it because obvious that Cam could not throw as soon as October 2017--but RR kept playing him.

So are these delays on Cam, the organization, the head coach?  The team needs their healthy QB on the field during OTAs, camp,  and preseason.  If not, it throws off the timing and chemistry for all players.

So why the delays?  If they Cam's decision, could that contribute to Tepper's frustration?  Not a rhetorical question---I am not sure if this has been addressed or if there is a good explanation---not seeking an opinion here, because you nor I know the answer--unless it has been addressed by the organization or cam.

My just stating what I want to happen. Get out of your emotions.

If you are stating what you want to happen, then I am not the one in my emotions.  You could be right--but the chance of a different outcome is greater.  Did not mean for it to be taken personally.
