Little didn't play that well, definitely not well enough that I'd feel all that comfortable handing him the job, and that's assuming he can even stay healthy which certainly isn't proven yet.

And with the changeover in staff up in Washington, Trent Williams doesn't look to be going anywhere.

We found Hurney

QB: Cam Newton

HB: CMC

WR1: DJ Moore

WR2: Samuel

WR: 3  1 YR FA

LT: Fix

LG: Fix free agent Money

C: Paradis looks better now we have a LT

RG: Trai

RT: Moton

TE: Ian Thomas

What position of needs are there? We sign Bradberry and McCoy or Butler, we have a roster for the defense. We can use the rest of the draft on Defense if we draft a cornerstone day one LT. The offense I listed with Cam healthy scores 30-40 a game. By god keep him out of the preseason games, I'd rather see him get every week he can and we lose the first game because of rust then that crap happen again.

Whoever said fix the interior hit the nail on the head. This is the problem with the Offensive line. The tackles I though overall did an ok job, not great, just ok. The interior however did godawful. Mike Williams is a shell of himself, Trai had a down year, and the less I say about Paradis the better. Paradis needs to be replaced ASAP. Get a good center and I will guarsheed you the offensive line will be 10x better, no cap. Paradis brought the whole line down.

If the top LT is there at 7, I'm all in, as long as he grades out (don't want Marty making that distinction).

However, this is the problem with keeping Marty in the building, it's tough to tell your boss that you just traded up for a player last season, gave up valuable picks, and now you are admitting a mistake not even a year later.

Had we brought in a new GM we would get a real evaluation of the roster, instead, we will get a biased review.

Dumb as lugnuts.

I thought Marty always nailed the first round?

You are mistaken, as is this board.

If you had to break down the most important positions on the football field, from 11 to 1 on both the defensive side and offensive side of the ball, where would DT and LT land in your values?

Hurney, between those two positions has drafted 1 player in god knows how many drafts for us that has worked out long term for us.  1.  Jordan Gross.

He LOVES going after the easier positions (especially in the 1st) to make the transition from college to NFL though....RB and LB...loves those positions, not so much on the harder to identify positions such as DT, LT, CB, etc...

Hurney's tenure here is arguable on what went wrong. 2003 was awesome, 2004 injury plagued, 2005 was a great year, 2006 and 2007 were mediocre, but not terrible, 2008 it wasn't Hurney's fault Jake Delhomme decided to throw 5 interceptions in a game where if we had one would've hosted the NFC title game that next Sunday, 2009 and 2010 was more Fox then Hurney, 2011 and 2012 were growing pains.

Gettleman was obsessed with building depth on the lines... That was nice, but it bit us in 2016 when he completely ignored the CB position in the 1st round in favor of Vernon Butler. The team needed a guy to replace 2 legends and Josh Norman, and the team decided to do that with a 2nd,3rd, and 5th rounder.  2017 we got CMC from Gettleman and the rest was history. 2018 we got Ian Thomas, DJ Moore, and Donte Jackson (Jesus people, he is not a bust for getting angry in a year his only NFL coach got fired, we were losing multiple games in a row, and the guy only being a second year). Those 3 will likely be starters for us in 2020. 2019 Brian Burns looks legit, Greg Little the Jury is still out, Dennis Daley played meaningful snaps and made the team, you can't rely on two rookies to save the world when defending elite ends weekly. The only thing I would say Hurney screws up that Gettleman was able to was building depth. The starting 22 were always solid, but that one Injury always happened that caused problems, and the position fell apart. Imagine if Hurney drafted in the 1st and Gettleman built the depth for the team, that would be an amazing combination lol.

Also, Gross retired in 2013, why would Hurney draft a LT when he has a top 10 LT???? That statement is foolish, John Fox up until the end usually had a solid defense, sometimes you don't resolve positions like DT through the draft.

Lastly on the whole Hurney overpays, the same people who say that are the same people who would go ballistic if we cut or traded Cam. If Cam said he wanted 3 years 90 million and would hold out if he didn't get it, I'm confident Hurney 2.0 would move on. Y'all act as if Hurney didn't learn any lessons lol, that's why Olsen is mad, good ole boy Richardson wasn't here for another contract extension.

People continue to not remember that we drafted Greg Little.

We haven't forgotten.  We just don't think he has the tools to play the opposition at the NFL level.  Maybe after being in the NFL for 4 years he might get it.  He was killed too many times especially the  Atlanta game and afterward.  Ate his lunch for how many sacks and hurries on Kyle that game.  The start of a long long slide for us.

And fans still continue to forget that he was a “rookie”.

I hear constant predictions of us going D-lineman or QB in the 1st round. I'm almost for trading the pick for a established LT.  If tua or Herbert falls to our spot, a crappy team who stumbled upon a good LT might be willing to make a trade. I really don't care if fixing LT causes us to go 0-16 this year, the colts and Ron's Panthers have shown us what ignoring O-Line will do. Of course Paradis sucks, the whole left side of the line collapses every time we drop back, fix this crap and if it kills our d-line, a rookie wasn't fixing it anyway.

Dude dont you know? If we fix LT we stand a chance of being good...and if were good we can't suck now to hopefully be good later.

No I haven't....but he was chosen to start day one.  He didn't show me anything in the preseason and he didn't show me anything during the regular season.  He didn't work well with Williams or Roten on the Lside of the ball.  If you noticed most of CMC's long runs came from the right side of the ball.  We hardly ran left.
