When are we addressing LT

It's like some of yall are trying to talk up the situation to a better place than we are looking at. The hope of improvement doesn't equal actual improvement. Little was far from good last year and being available has been an issue. Yeah small sample size but it's going to remain a huge red flag untill he can prove it wrong. Daley looks like a RT,  at best a backup LT or a maybe OG. We may or may not address the LT position in this draft but that doesn't equal a huge jump from year one's production or availability for either. I would think anyone here wants that too but it doesn't always happen. You tell me Burns is going to make a big jump in improvement this year and I would say that is very likely but hoping two guys who didn't show nearly anything that Burns did last year to make the jump we desperately need is just hope thats not backed by anything but hope.

By the time the draft rolls around, I don't know were the actual vs percieved will fall but there could be 3 to 5 LT prospects that are better as a rookie than the guys some of you are proping up as the answer or good enough with 1 year of actual NFL experience. If that happens you pull the trigger on the guy who fixes our long standing issue at LT.

Huddle Panthers fans are some of the most pro DT fans in all of football fandom imo. Even when we didn't have a decent QB and Cam was available Huddle fans wanted to skip Cam and draft one of the top DTs. You will never see this much DT love in other fan bases. I think it's partly a product of the Panthers tradition of going apeshit over DTs under Fox and RR. The DT love rubbed off on the Panthers fan base. It doesn't matter if we don't have a QB, or LT, or whichever position, I think our fan base will want a DT.

It's not a bad thing to have two good players at arguably the most important position that is not blown up.

it is when you are severely depleted at other important position

your cake will suck if you have more eggs than needed, but not enough flour or baking soda.

for the record, I am all for drafting a franchise LT at #7

Will Hurney do it? Hell no. In his mind, he drafted our franchise LT in the 2nd last year, and I guarantee you Hurney thinks that he showed promise in a bad situation, flashed, and needs playing time.

We will not be drafting LT at #7 I promise you that.

Stepping back, Little was a classic overreaction by MH on draft day.  There was a run on LTs in the first, and Marty panicked.  He tried to trade up for Little (in the first round)

Little has all the tools to be good.  He is raw and needs coaching badly.

So what you’re saying is, we get our hands on Brown, swing a draft day trade getting rid of Cam to also get our hands on Kinlaw, and we’re right back in that Superb Owl mix?

That is exactly what he is saying...Go DTs!

Seriously, you need an OL and a D for most qbs to succeed.

OL: Keeps QB upright and gives the QB a run game.

D: Gives QB field position and keeps the team in games so that the QB is not having to play from behind--that is when the D comes at him.

Good WRs are a plus too.  However, if you put the QB into the mix before these pieces are in place, you are setting up your QB to fail.

The 1970 Steelers, when Tepper was a teenager, drafted Bradshaw and he was terrible during year 1.  Some of the worst qb numbers I have ever seen (38% completion rate, 24 interceptions, 6 TDs) and he is now wearing a yellow jacket.  In today's NFL, a young QB with those numbers would not have started year 2.   So it is not a matter of why you want a DT over a QB, it is a matter of timing.  And about the reason Panther fans love DTs---Jenkins/Buckner; Star/Short---Super Bowl years.
