When are we addressing LT

Yeah, because everyone else thinks Little was amazing :)

Because our team has an unfortunate habit of valuing players that the rest of the league isn't that high on (generally for good reason).

Take this guy named Clausen, for example...

Well is not good or amazing. I never said he was either.

It's all speculation what the Panthers would've done, I don't care what anybody said, he could've been just talking him up.

I never said he was the starter to be, that's why I made this thread, j think he CAN be, but I feel if we get LT and LG fixed NOW, we can actually contend for a wild card/ division champions if Brees is down.

Joe Brady coaching an offense with Cam Newton, a CMC, and a offensive line that doesn't get run over every play is night and day different then Norv turner. Even if we fix absolutely nothing on this offensive line, you will see a big difference.

I attended Clemson vs LSU last month. Clemson KILLED, Burrow in the 1st half, brusing his ribs, Brady made adjustments and blew Clemson out (sigh.) I'm excited about this hire.

Yeah, we aren't far from being a great team.

If Cam is healthy, with Joe Brady running the offense. Wow.

I'm okay holding off on tackle unless there's some promising player that drops on day 2...maybe.

I thought Little played as well as a rookie LT does, especially given his support at LG was a revolving door - including the turnstile that was Williams. I also think Moton will be a very good RT for us. Let Little show us in year two that he has improved from year one, which there is a lot of upside that needs to be fulfilled.....but this is why I don't want to spend an early pick on this spot.

I agree that the interior is more of a concern and getting a solid LG and C in there is crucial. I would like to hope that Paradis can turn it around, but I wouldn't mind getting Cushenberry in the third either. I think Cush can be a day 1 starter at center for us.

I hear constant predictions of us going D-lineman or QB in the 1st round. I'm almost for trading the pick for a established LT.  If tua or Herbert falls to our spot, a crappy team who stumbled upon a good LT might be willing to make a trade. I really don't care if fixing LT causes us to go 0-16 this year, the colts and Ron's Panthers have shown us what ignoring O-Line will do. Of course Paradis sucks, the whole left side of the line collapses every time we drop back, fix this crap and if it kills our d-line, a rookie wasn't fixing it anyway.

We can get Thomas or Wills at 7. Rather get a rookie who can start and develop him than trade for an LT who will demand bank.

I'm not comfortable putting us in a position where we have to rely on Little, or Daley for that matter.

It's not just that neither one looked like anything special, but with Little there are major questions about his ability to stay healthy.

We gambled that Paradis would be effective and healthy last season too.

Agree with this. Both Little and Daley looked promising early in the season. Give them another shot as healthy players and shore up the interior. There isn't an interior guy with first round talent but several that we could grab at 38.

Last year a lot of people were upset at the idea of drafting a LT saying we had Williams and Moton. This year's the same only the name's are changed. You can't get a long term solution to the LT position in free agency because teams keep their good ones. You have to get one in the draft and you have to get one early like the Panthers did with Gross.

You could potentially get one if it gets to pick 6 and Herbert and Tua are on the board and a team who has one is desperate. We have the story to tell to scare them into making the trade.

Greg Little played well before his injury. It was his rookie season. Donte Jackson is still a good pick, people are overreacting with him, Josh Norman didn't come on until year 4. Brian burns looks to be the real deal. People forget Kawaan Short even exists. Good God trade the pick for Trent Williams IDC, fix this crap. We HAVEN'T drafted offensive lineman In the first in TEN+ YEARS!!!! We've drafted defensive lineman like 6 times. I'd rather watch us score 25-40 points and keep Cam safe then allow 15 while cam gets killed some more.

1. Little - 2 things here, he didnt play "well" before his injury, he was in over his head, same with daley and two the 2 concussions is enough to make plans to go forward without him

2. Jackson - He showed promised last year but proved to be a complete head case that cannot tackle or deal with larger receivers.

3. Burns- the real deal?  What the hell are you talking about, he can only play in passing situations.  He has a long way to go to being a productive 3 down lineman.

4. Short - wrong side of 30 coming off an injury.  He shouldnt be in any long term plans for this team

Is it the concussions, or was it something else with Little?

Cam doesn’t have to worry about playing behind horrible Panther o-lines anymore

The concussions are a pretty big concern, but if I recall correctly he went on IR for something else.

Call me cynical, but I guess part of me just wonders how many more years we're gonna go into a season thinking "this year he's gonna be healthy" / "this year it's gonna be different" / "this year we're not gonna make the same mistakes" before we stop falling for it.

We need an LT, LG, and C. We also need like half of a defense so we need the foundational leaders that are building blocks.  I'd also argue the needs for a competent C & LG are just as important.  Every piece of the line matters and effects the guy next to them.  GVR, Paradis, and Larsen are extremely questionable.

If we're in position for Thomas, take him.  If not, I'd look to get a C in Rd2-4 and additional linemen.

If not Biadiasz, I'd be game for that Hennessy kid.  Write ups look great on him.
