He knows it is easier to build a winning "program" in college than the NFL, right? Right??

Technically, it's actually harder. You have to recruit your rosters and compete on an uneven playing field. Nick Saban, Dabo Swinney, Lincoln Riley ... All are not great football coaches, but AMAZING recruiters.

Matt Rhule took two CRAP CFB programs and had them 11-2 within 3 years. There is no way your can turn 1-11 to 11-2 within 3 years, you have to get guys you didn't recruit to buy in...

College football has alot of blood money around it, I would not doubt some players take a pay cut to go to the NFL...

The thing that made me ok with the hire, Baylor was 1-11 after getting the death penalty from a HUGE sex scandel... Matt Rhule came in and turned them in to a team that was one win from playing in the CFP.

I think Alabama's running something shady... Ever wonder why the SEC as a whole is loved more then other teams? It's because it's where the money is at... It explains why Saban sucked with the dolphins, Spurrier sucked with the redskins, etc.

I'm glad we're trying something different for a change, instead of calling every DC within 100 miles like we always do.

People make it out like we've had some terrible history.

We have in this century

2 NFC Championships

2 Super Bowl Apperences

1 leauge MVP

Multiple HOF players

5 division championships

Multiple playoff berths

Have we had down years? Yes... But we haven't gone through browns hell yet

Matt Rhule and his staff are working hard preparing for the 2020 season. He is a master developer and builder who has shown what he can do. Look at his history. He constructed winning programs at Temple and Baylor and he will build an elite program here.

Tepper just can't stop hyping Rhule up.

blowin' smokeeeeee

Yep. Cam puts butts in seats whether he is loved or hated

I’ll buy this year...next year meh. Invoices will come out before decisions on Cam are official

Winning put butts in seats. Cam usually gave us that edge where we could win if we balled out. But I’ve seen plenty of empty seats during Cams off years.

It's actually not that hard to win in college football, just have to spend crazy amounts of money. Turning Temple around is impressive at some level but it's also not as difficult to build a power in a weak conference. He was also able to take advantage of the Big 12 having a lot of flux in coaching staffs. Look at the period he was there and you will see wild swings from some of their traditional power teams(other than Oklahoma, obviously).

I am not trying to say what he did was not impressive but building in college can be accomplished with just simply money and the right support for a program, whereas you can't just "buy" a good team in the NFL. There is no salary cap in college football, there is in the NFL. Similarly, recruiting in college and building a roster in the NFL are light years different. There are no BS filters in the form of agents in college and you are pitching to a bunch of young kids versus seasoned veterans with agents. It's harder in the NFL because you HAVE to get your scouting right, you HAVE to get your rosters built right or you will be stuck for a long time. In college, you can wipe out a few misses in a recruiting class by just recruiting new players. It's a lot more complicated in the NFL with salaries and contractual agreements involved.

He sure doesn't. He thinks since he has "infinite resources" Rhule is just going to become a HOF NFL headcoach.

Yeah, I am seriously starting to think we have Dan Snyder 2.0. The red flags are going up left and right. I just hope Tepper is a lot smarter than he looks at the moment.

*sighs*

4Corners poos the most innocuous things for unfathomable reasons. Why would you have a problem with someone simply asking whether or not the prices went up? What a sad, strange person.

Dude did I say I had a problem with someone asking a question. Learn how to understand a question which is what mine was. I asked if the prices went up because I was actually wondering if they did. Damn another shitty poster I have to put on ignore.

Do you not understand that my comment wasn’t even about what you said but the fact 4corners pooed it? Please read what I wrote again and note fact 4corners pooed the comment I quoted.
