No actually the opposite

Pretty much some girl ruined him.  Claiming he did.  NFL wouldn't touch him then.  It drug out, they offered him a plea deal but he denied because he said he was innocent.

Then just last year I believe they found him not guilty and the woman had made it up.

Sad story

If he plays good in the XFL. He would be worth looking at. There is a Baylor connection (looks like right before Rhule) and he was predicted a high round pick before the (now proven false) accusations came out. The guy is huge with a good motor...  We clearly need all the defensive line help we can get.

I love it, but you have to keep the practice squaders together on whatever XFL team.  Right now I have a passing interest in the XFL, but if 10 panthers players, even practice squaders were on a team, you better believe whatever team it is I'll watch every sunday.  If the league even got up to 16 teams, you could do 20 practice squadders per team, 10 from an NFC and 10 from an AFC team to keep some seperation between oppenents and that seems really ideal

Logistically, don't think you could do it.

The structure is this. There are 8 teams in the XFL. Each roster is at 52 players (46 active on game day). There is a "practice team" based in Dallas that is unaffiliated with the other teams but acts as a farm for them all. They have 40 players on roster. They are there to fill spots on any team that needs them in the event of injury or if they want to call them up. After week 2, teams can ONLY use Team 9 to fill roster spots (so no outside signings off the street). After week 5, Team 9 players will be dispersed to the 8 teams across the league and roster sizes expand for 52 to 57. At that point, team 9 will refill with 36 players but no kickers, punters, or long snappers. This whole system is apparently based on the old NFL Europe model.

So basically, I would allow any of the 8 teams to sign any NFL practice squad player in the off-season or prior to week 2 of the regular season without forfeiting their NFL practice squad spot. This would also include Team 9. You couldn't keep a specific team's practice squad together but you COULD assign a division per XFL team. So all NFC South practice squad players could theoretically sign with the Tampa Bay Vipers, for instance. NFC North to New York Guardians, NFC East to DC Defenders, NFC West to Seattle Dragons. So on and so forth for the AFC. This affords regional fans to potentially see their team's practice squad players play as well, which would encourage more attendance.

Barring this idea entirely, if a NFL player is not signed by a NFL team, it becomes another US-based league where guys can show what they can do at this level. CFL limits American players, so it's not as accessible for your NFL cuts to get into. The XFL could become, at minimum, a proving ground for NFL teams to see tape on you after college.

What will be interesting is seeing if college guys are going to choose to go into the XFL if they know their chances in the NFL are as late round picks or undrafted signings.

Not really a connection to this staff though.  He was at Baylor before Rhule.

This is IF he looks good as well. He has been completely out of football for a few years, so the odds arent in his favor.

Oh yeah it’s a long shot. He has been playing indoor football since last year, so he may be in decent shape. We just need to think outside the box a little since we have so many needs and have to stay under the salary cap.

What are they? was busy yesterday, didn't get to watch any of it

Basically both teams line up at the 35 of the receiving team. They can't move until the ball is caught or on the ground for three seconds. Then return as normal.

A few other tweaks here:
