such a shitty deal, i wouldnt take anything less than a 1st rounder this year

If you do something like that, the the tank job is on

If they have to cut him, they get nothing--but if you wait to see what he can do, you risk missing free agency.  I find the timing to be interesting--not sure what it means.  I think he is worth a 3rd rounder (early third) in February 2020--he was worth a first rounder (or two) in February 2016.

I’d take a 2021 2nd rounder for him. If we’re dealing him, we’re going to need all the ammunition we can garner to trade up for Lawrence or fields next year.   Making that trade would give us a first, two twos and probably two threes after the Bradberry comp pick. That could be very useful if we need to jump a few spots to get our next qb.

Especially if we screw up the tank job like Miami did.

If the Panthers are having a fire sale, they may not be looking for fair value--especially if they do not know if the toaster is still working or not.  Buyer assumes the risk and the seller accepts a lower price.

I mean, if we are going pure firesale, let's get what we can for CMC. His contract is coming up soon and we will not be competitive during his peak years, most likely.

If hell freezes over and we get their 1st for Cam, you trade up for Burrow right? 6 and 7 should get their 1 and possible their 3rd too right? You also save 19 million in cap space to use on free agents or extensions.

I personally would take Brown and Simmons, play Grier all year and save money in Free Agency, draft Lawerence or Fields and go all in

It's definitely a question that people could make. Where we stand and our talent level we might need the picks more than a great RB. Especially with with all the dead cap we have the next two years.

Not really...His stock is rising and his best years are ahead.  Age is the factor.  You do not have to sell everything you own--just the stuff that may or may not be damaged.

But the old "Buy low, sell high" could apply---they could want to sell.  I just think there is a difference between paying 35m to someone on the decline vs. $15m to a RB on the rise--but my rule in the past was: RBs hardly ever earn their second contracts.

So I could see that too.  Depends on what they went to accomplish.  CMC would bring some value--I just do not see them doing it like I do Cam, Olsen, maybe Poe, etc.

I really like both QBs you mentioned. You just aren’t guaranteed either of them. One could regress next year or decide to stay their senior year and we might screw up and win a couple games.

Even when Cam is healthy .. that is not the ultimate question .. everybody expects Cam to get healthy .. can he STAY healthy is the million dollar question

Don't think u can say he will ever be just flat out healthy again. His shoulder is never going to be 100 percent and you don't know how long it will last. So yeah that is part of the equation.
