Very solid.   You picked two OL who have potential to be special.

I have one point---and I realize you cannot meet all needs in one draft---but what happened with a WR?  Strong draft for it---what was your intent?

Just that, without more picks I couldn't hit every area of need.  In my view, WR is waaaay down the needs list.  In fact, it could be a target for a preferred undrafted free agent kinda like Godwin last year.

My targets are (in no particular order): OL x2, DL x2, TE, S and LB.

Verge, if Simmons and Brown are there at 7 who do you see Hurney taking and what does your friend think Hurney will do?

I would imagine Brown? I don't really know Hurney's thought process though.

Verge, what's your guys CB rankings? It's such a stacked class and we could get a first round talent like Bryce Hall or Jeff Gladney in the second? Im leaning for us going CB in round 2

1. Okudah
2. Henderson
3. Diggs
4. Arnette
5. Fulton

Replace Brown with Andrew Thomas and replace that round 4 OT with a DT and i'd be over the moon

As we need to fill more than 7 positions, my way is to trade down so we have more than 7 picks. I hope we get a WR if one drops to us around 4th or 5th round.

You guys know me by now, if you do not I have a friend who is a scout in the NFL, and I also do my own scouting work on the side (I have a twitter and all that junk hoping to turn it into a career at some point). It's fine if you believe me, it's fine if you don't, I do this thread every year and some of you guys seem to enjoy it, so here are some tidbits for the draft his year.

Whats your handle?

We are in rebuilding mode.  We need to take talent not 7 positions which is stupid anyway.

Verge - the talking heads keep saying TE is a really weak position in this draft (perhaps the weakest one overall).  What are your thoughts on that?  If not TE, which position do you see as the weakest (ie, least depth of talent overall)?

Good thread as always.

I guess? There is not really a clear cut number one, but there is a handful of guys that will probably hit the late second through early fourth rounds. Interior o-line would probably be up there too.

Interior OL up there as a weakness? If so, SMH as we take tackles in a weaker tackle draft and go after interior OL in a weaker draft instead of drafting interior OL the past two years when they were deep and talented and take tackles in this stronger class. Little would probably be a late 3rd/early 4th this year. We traded up 47 and 77 to get him. So frustrating.

Yet, predictable.
