I really like Cushenberry, but want to spend the first two rounds on defense. Not that I draft need over BPA but I can't imagine that there won't be a starting CB or DT (depending on where we go in R1) that is equal or better value than Cushenberry.

Now if we want an IOL that Brady is familiar with, give me Damien Lewis in the fourth....MAYBE the third if we trade back into the mid-later part of it.

If we could do something like:

R1: DT - Brown/Kinlaw

R2: CB - Terrell/Johnson/Igbinoghen

R3: C - Biadasz

R3 (trade up for): G - Lewis

R4: LB - Davis-Gathier

R5: WR - Quartney Davis/Isaiah Hodgins

In my mock drafting maddness, Its a near must to spend either the 1st or 2nd on CB. You need luck for a starter level to "fall" to the 3rd. Just going off mocks it follows like this

1st- DT or CB. Wildcard LB or QB

2nd- CB or DL. Wildcard WR, Safety, OT, or OG

3rd- D/Oline Wildcard TE, DB

4th- OL, DT, DE. Wildcard Safety, LB

5th- LB,C,WR Wildcard DL, TE

About 98.5% of the time you better follow this, it gos along with value too.

Now here's something interesting - the Panthers had a long video call with Northern Colorado quarterback Jacob Knipp, per source. They were also at his Pro Day, which took place before travel restrictions were enforced by the league.

I see this and I’m sure Verge is a janitor at BOA?

With the quarantine, I've been able to run through a lot of 1-38 mocks and holy heck will there be talent for us in the 2nd.

I see a big drop off when you get to around pick 45-50.

Also, absolutely love your quick mock :)

I want to like Davidson, but I just don't see it when I thrown his stuff on.

Mims' drop rate may knock him a peg or two on boards as talented as he looks.

Any word on your end about Terrell Lewis?  I've been seeing some top-40 rumblings for him for team's who consider his injury a fluke.  He's a havoc wreaking talent.  Has that frame that can fit anywhere from a 4-3 base end to a 3-4 EDGE.  Can fill out more than a Burns.

I know Kevin Colbert is suggesting three additional rounds be added to the Draft. I actually think that's not a bad idea but I'd be shocked if it happened.

Wouldn't they have to have an agreement with the NFLPA to do that?

Regarding the state of the roster...

I also wonder if they will "slow" down the draft process this year because of the concern for ensuring accuracy. Perhaps stretching the rounds out a little more....

Thursday: Round 1

Friday: Round 2

Saturday: Rounds 3-4

Sunday: Rounds 5-7

Or maybe bump it back a day and do

Day1: Round 1

Day2: Round 2

Day3: Rounds 3-4

Day4: Rounds 5-6

Day5: Round 7 + UDFAs

I mean..... all we really have going on right now is time.

If anyone would like a Draft Guide in .pdf that I got for free from a major sports-site for which I have a subscription, just e-mail me and I'll send it to you.

I just went through it and its decently formatted and has some really good info.

My e-mail is my Huddle user-name at yahoo-dot-com.

You watch him and you think "Meh".

Then at the end of the year you look at the stats and you discover that he's one of the top two or three edge rushers in the SEC.

Yeah seems like that guy who won't show flashes but could be a consistent motor kicking yearlong.

Those are the types of guys that I'm concerned that they may have peaked in college and just don't have the physical tools to translate to the next level. We'll see though. A lot of those guys end up working out after all.

On top of the fact that he has the size that give you the flexibility to slide him inside in particular defensive sets.

Now I'm not saying he's the best player in the draft or anything, but if he ends up going in the bottom of the first, it will be because of his consistent productivity in the SEC as well as his flexibility and strength.  It certainly won't be because of any sort of flashy athleticism.
