@Verge ..

Targeting these position (DT, CB, a Olinemen LB and depth Safety) what rounds are you as a GM looking to strike these position??

Of course depending on if you Grab either Brown, Okudah, Simmons or Kinlaw in the 1st.. JMo those are the top targets in the 1st round..

Touching on this again, positional value is important and often times takes over grade for a lot of teams. Like I imagine 7-8 OT are going in the first round (Wills, Wirfs, Thomas, Beckton, Jones, Wilson, Jackson, and maybe Prince), but there is no way half of them grade out better than some of the corners, receivers, and defensive tackles that will inevitably go after them. If that makes sense.

About 90% The only hiccup would be if Rivera took Simmons, which could happen, but it is likely Young.

After getting Sweat last year I don't see them taking Young. They will try and trade back a little to get Simmons if not take him at 2

@Verge Feel free to link me the post if you already have shared this, but what are your opinions on the interior offensive linemen? Specifically the prospects that can compete at guard their rookie year before moving over to take over for Paradis at center next season or the season after?

I was high on Tyler Biadasz and Nick Harris throughout the season, but liked what I saw out of Cushenberry at the Senior Bowl I think it was. That, and with Brady being the new OC, I've become very high on Cushenberry. A lot of folks regard Cesar Ruiz as the top guy, but just as I was about to do more research on him I saw Netane Muti's bench reps and felt my inner Al Davis tingle.

How would you rank these prospects (as well as any that you've got your eye on) and what round grades would you give them?

"Herbert will probably be the second QB drafted, this corona thing is scaring some away from Tua."

There you go.

I know you're passing on what you're hearing, so this isn't direct toward you, but that doesn't even make sense to me.

It doesn't make sense to me either, but NFL teams draft busts in the top 10 every year and teams are far more willing to reach wildly at QB than any other position. But, I could definitely understand increased apprehension regarding drafting Tua this year. All of these teams would've had their own medical teams putting him through the ringer in a normal draft year and without the ability to do that, yeah... he's a huge risk.

Oh, I understand what you're saying here completely.

I just don't see how relating it to COVID-19 makes any sense.  Unless someone can point out some physical disability he has that makes him more susceptible to Corona than other young players, like asthma?

It's due to the inability to travel to get medical evaluations. That's directly due to COVID-19. It has nothing to do with his individual susceptibility, it's just a byproduct of the overall environment right now.

I think they mean they can't give him a physical in person due the covid19 so thus the apprehension.

People hear this and think that teams view certain positions more than other positions, which they do and should, but its also about your alternatives later in the draft.

A lot of people feel better about finding a decent DT or TE later in the draft than an OT.

Speaking of WRs there seem to be viewed as valuable but at the same time there always seems to be good value in the 2nd and 3rd round with them.  Personally I think it is because WRs are the most dependent position on the field.  They are really at the mercy of the OC and QB.  There are some really bad QBs and offenses at the college level.

A lineman is different, no matter what he team he is on  he is pretty having a one on one battle with the guy in front of him.  That is easier to judge than some WR who might only get 3 catchable balls thrown his way all game.

To be fair, if it's easier to judge, then NFL talent evaluators are getting a lot worse at it. OL used to be considered the safest 1st round pick you could make. In the last decade or so, they've become one of the riskiest. There have been a TON of 1st round bust OL in the last 10 years or so.
