Cam helps, but I think this has to do with the QB class being weak in this draft after Burrow/Tua. If neither are realistic you will be better off just rolling with Cam than taking a gamble on the other QB's.

Also keeping Cam hurts our chances at a top QB next year. I hope the Panthers know what they are doing.

That might be the stupidest mock draft yet. After saying Cam is our QB, we pass up ALL of the good tackles to get a DL. Then, with Delpit sitting there, we take a LB?

Nah this is in line with Teppers long term plan IMO.  Qb draft is next year.  I trust Tepper and his long game

That’s not really saying much, just that they don’t expect Burrow or Tua to be available to them. Things could change, or that could wind up just not being the case... But also it makes sense to see what we have left in Cam this year and if he isn’t healthy and playing at a high level we tank for Trevor or Fields. If he is healthy and playing at a high level then we still have our QB and wouldn’t have any need or reason to draft one anyways.

This secret draft information doesn't mean anything at all. Later we'll see a list of players the Panthers are high on and interviewing and we'll draft none of them. Common sense should tell you we are not drafting a QB.
